Lorin E. Riddle 88 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 5:50 PM February 25, 2018, at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

 

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Doug Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Clinton Community Education Foundation for Agriculture, or to the DeWitt Co. 4-H.

 

Lorin was born March 16, 1929, in Clinton, IL the son of Charles Isam and Goldie Mae (Page) Riddle. He married Rita Rosalie Brennan November 1, 1949, in Clinton, IL. She passed away August 28, 2007.

 

Survivors include his children, Nan (Michael) Crang, Clinton, IL; Chris (Nancy) Riddle, Clinton, IL; Craig (Madelyn) Riddle, Lane, IL; Lindon (Rebecca) Riddle, Clinton, IL; Camill (Brian) Tedrick, Clinton, IL; 7 Grandchildren: Adam (Karen) Crang, Gilbert, AZ; Kristin Riddle, Clinton, IL; Brian (Elizabeth) Riddle, Clinton, IL; Lorin J. (Kaye) Riddle, Clinton, IL; Arnall Riddle, Williston, ND; Elsie (Brandon) Hedgspeth, Mahomet, IL; and Ashton Tedrick, Clinton, IL; 5 Great-grandchildren; and one sister: Louise “Lou” Gibson, Clinton, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 4 Brothers, and 2 Sisters.

 

Lorin was a life-long resident of Creek Township and farmed for many years in DeWitt County. He was a mentor for Parkland College Internship for farming. His memberships included: Assistant Beef Superintendent for the Illinois State Fair, Illinois Soybean Assoc. Booster, American Angus Assoc., past member of Weldon/Lane Co-op., and involved with the Weldon 4-H Club for over 20 years. He was a proud Grandpa and Great-Grandpa.

Jerry “Joe” Stephen Huff, 73, of Heyworth, Illinois, passed away at 11:25 A.M., peacefully at his home Sunday, February 25, 2018.

Jerry was born November 21, 1944, in Ft. Madison, Iowa, to Lionel Earl and Aileen Lucille Stotts Huff. They preceded him in death. 

 

He is survived by his sons, Jerry Junior Billups of Keokuk, Iowa and Leonard Leon Huff of Hamilton, Illinois; daughters, Amy Gronewold of Heyworth, Illinois, Jamie (Mike) Hakes of Dana, Illinois, Kerry (Jim) LeMaster of Keokuk, Iowa, and Marcy Wycklendt of Heyworth, Illinois; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Rick (Sharon) Huff; and sister, Linda (Bill) Reid.

 

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. When home, his joy was playing with his grandchildren and watching old western movies. 

 

He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.

Frederick A. Dodson

Frederick A. Dodson, 63, of Le Roy passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 22, 2018) at his home in Le Roy.

 

A memorial visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics.

 

Mr. Dodson was born March 13, 1954, in Bloomington, to Wallace Wilfred and Dolores Joan Gilbert Dodson. He married Jill K. Hart on May 31, 1995, in Le Roy. She survives in Le Roy.

 

Also surviving are two sons, James L. (Joyce) Dodson of Rantoul and Brent L. Bounds; three daughters, Pleshatte M. Dodson of Bloomington, Brandy N. (Nathan) Hays of Saybrook and Stormy B. ("Skippy" T.J. Helt) Dodson of Le Roy; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wallace D. Dodson and Mike Dodson; and one sister, Michelle Dodson of Downs.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

 

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 55, Farmer City, a past Le Roy City Council member, and a member of the Bloomington Jaycees. He had been active in youth bowling and Special Olympics.

Edward Floyd Kiper

Edward Floyd Kiper, 73, of Le Roy, passed away 9:35 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 22, 2018) at his home.

 

His funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Le Roy. Pastor Eric Swanson will officiate. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Le Roy or the Le Roy Emergency Ambulance Service.

 

He was born March 10, 1944, in Normal, to Floyd Samuel and June LuDeen Leach Kiper. He married Janice Kay Reimer on July 20, 1968, in Meadows. She survives in Le Roy.

 

Also surviving are one son, David Edward (Christina) Kiper, Bloomington; one daughter, Laura Janice (David) Myers, Normal; five grandchildren, Logan and Mason Kiper and Tyler, Isabelle and Cole Myers; one sister, Cheryl (Mike) Myers, Bloomington; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Edward was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Korea from 1965 to 1967.

 

He worked for Eureka Williams, International Tapetronics Manufacturing (3M), Diversified Advertising, and Guardian West as a tool and die, maker.

 

Edward was a member of First United Methodist Church, Le Roy, since 1968. He was an assistant Boy Scout master and a member of Elmo F. Hill American Legion Post 291, Lexington.

 

He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, water skiing, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He could figure out how to fix almost anything. He loved classic cars, especially Chevrolets.

 

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Billy was born December 22, 1933, in DeWitt County, IL the son of Earl and LeMira (Luckenbill) Meadows.

 

Survivors include his brother: Richard (Karen) Meadows, Kenney, IL; sisters: Beverly (Harold) Palmer, Kenney, IL, Dorothy Sparrow, Kenney, IL, and Marge (Larry) Cooper, Clinton, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Robert, 4 sisters: Mary Cox, Lola Daily, Ruth Taylor, and Rose Burgess.

 

Billy was an ironworker for J.L. Simmons in Decatur, IL and helped on many farms in the area. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and a volunteer fireman for the Kenney Fire Department for over 40 years.

D. Gene Fisher, 89, of Waynesville, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale.

 

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville with Mr. Dave Taylor officiating.

 

Delmar Gene Fisher was born on June 24, 1928, in Waynesville, the son of Martin D. and Olive L. Eckert Fisher. He was united in marriage to Ellen Colene Rich on March 7, 1970. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2001.

 

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his caregiver: Lori Kistner, and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

 

He retired from Caterpillar in Decatur in 1988.  

 

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Janice L. Meyer, 64, formerly of Cissna Park, IL passed away on February 22, 2018, at Generations at Lincoln.

 

Janice was born on January 6, 1954, in Watseka, IL. the daughter of Roland and Louella (Benner) Meyer.

 

Janice is survived by her brother, Rodney (Peggy) Meyer of Lincoln; her twin brother, John (Dianne) Meyer of Abrams, WI; her nieces, Gayle (Randy) Geoffrey of Lexington, IL, Denise (Rick) Alvarez of Gilman, IL, and Julia Meyer of Pacific, MO; her nephews, Philip (Kish) Meyer of Harrah, OK, Ryan (Cathy) Meyer of St. Peter, IL, and Jonathan Meyer of Springfield, IL. Additionally, Janice is survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Connie Jean (Doty) Travis

Connie Jean (Doty) Travis, 79, of Mt. Pulaski, formerly of Chestnut, passed away on February 22, 2018, in her home surrounded by family.

 

She was born May 21, 1938, the oldest daughter of Glen and Dorothy (Puyear) Doty of Cowden, Illinois. She graduated from Cowden High School, class of 1955, and then went to work at Illinois Bell Telephone Co., Decatur, Illinois.

 

She was married to Richard Travis on November 22, 1959, at the United Methodist Church in Herrick, Illinois. They lived and raised their children on a farm near Chestnut, Illinois, and also enjoyed spending the winters at their home in Ft. Myers, Florida. After his death on August 12, 2012, she moved to Mt. Pulaski to be near her daughter. Her family was precious to her, and she was an avid gardener. She was retired from the post office and worked in real estate.

 

Visitation will be held at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral home in Mt. Pulaski on Monday, February 26, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 pm. Memorial services will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Chestnut where she was a member, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Laenna Cemetery in Chestnut.

 

She is survived by her children: Rick (Kim) Travis of Cowden, IL., Lori (Pat) Przykopanski of Mt. Pulaski, IL., Mark Travis of Edwardsville, IL.; grandchildren: Jared (Shellie) Travis, Meghan (Ciara) Travis, Brittany (Seth) Barnes, Jerilee (Matt) McQuilling, Kaitlyn (Ben) Viorel, Kyle, Caleb, Chloe Przykopanski, Zachary, Jason, and Nick Travis; great grandchildren: Dylan, Casey, and Brody Gaddis; Brady, Ava, and Abby McQuilling; Tucker, Audrey, and Clara Travis; step-grandchildren: Sean and Tommy Murphy; godchildren: Sadie Smith, Roseanne Siegal, and Emmett Kilhoffer; sisters: Alta May Fry, Glenna Knapp, Carol (Lyle) Barnes, Vickie (Dave) Yakey.

Kathleen Ann Bruce

Kathleen Ann Bruce, 61, of Lincoln, passed away on February 21, 2018, in her home.

 

Kathleen was born on October 17, 1956, in Lincoln, IL; daughter of William and Shirley (Baker) Kurtz, step-mother Alice Kurtz. She married Thomas Bruce in Lincoln, IL. He survives her in Lincoln.

 

Also surviving Kathleen are her sons: Shawn and Nick Baker; her step-children: Tommy (Mary) Bruce, Michael (Jodi) Bruce, Candice Bruce, Nancy (Tim) Pollon, Karen (Ed) Miller, and Jimmy Bruce; her siblings: Ellen Bard, Gene Schoth, Elizabeth Bertram, and Billy Kurtz. Additionally, she is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Services for Kathleen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services (10:00- 11:00 a.m.) on Monday, February 26, 2018, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln. Riley Louis Schaub

Riley Louis Schaub, 89, formerly of Lincoln, IL passed away on February 18, 2018, at the Charleston House Memory Care in Beaver Dam, WI.

 

Riley was born on July 22, 1928, in Logan County, IL; son of Louis Edward and Martha Elizabeth (Britten/Emmons) Schaub. He was united in marriage to Lillian Elaine Bishop on May 21, 1950, in Omaha, NE. She preceded him in death on May 19, 2014. 

 

Riley worked for Pyle Construction before becoming the Owner/Operator of his own HVAC business, “Riley’s Heating and Electric” in McPherson, Kansas. During those years in McPherson, Riley and Lillian loved entertaining family, friends, and the students of Central Christian College, where Lillian was employed. Together they would play games or relax while boating at the lake. Riley and his family were very active in the McPherson Free Methodist Church where Riley served as a Board Member, Sunday School teacher and Usher. Riley and Lillian were also Class Sponsors, Share Team Leaders and served on various committees for Central Christian College, where Riley also donated much of his time servicing the buildings. After retiring, Riley and Lillian moved to Aurora, MO where they continued to entertain family and friends… especially trips to Branson, MO. They enjoyed assisting in the local church and making new friends. All through his career, Riley enjoyed designing and constructing steeples for area churches as one of his favorite hobbies.

 

Riley never knew a stranger… only friends he hadn’t met yet, and he never turned down an opportunity to help someone in need. Riley’s life, his character, and his love for family and friends was a constant reflection of his personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

Surviving Riley are his children: Bonnie (Jack) Egan of Elkhart, IN and Randy (Judy) Schaub of Beaver Dam, WI; grandchildren: Matthew (Jamie) Lehl, Mary (Benji) Oswald, Ryan (Jodie) Schaub, Jordan Schaub, Bill (Kat) Egan, and Chris Egan; great grandchildren: Finn, Briar, and Follie Lehl, Thomas and Nathan Oswald, Lenox Egan, Haydn, Riley, Hudson, Reed and Izaac Schaub, Zeke and Kya Mistark; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Earl Emmons and Paul Schaub.

 

Services for Riley will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL with Pastor Greg Wooten officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service also at the funeral home. Burial at Zion Cemetery will follow the service, followed by a luncheon provided by Hope Chapel, 2501 Woodlawn Road, in Lincoln.

Clint Allen Reeves

Clint Allen Reeves, 47, of Macomb passed away at 2:05 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 west of Macomb.

 

He was born on August 14, 1970 in Decatur, Illinois to Robert and Pamela Ridgley Reeves. He married Michelle Reck on June 19, 1993 in Decatur. She survives.

 

Also surviving are one daughter, Madison Reeves and one son, Cale Reeves, both of Macomb; his mother, Pamela Reeves of Cerro Gordo and one brother, Cody Reeves of Moweaqua, Illinois.

 

He was preceded in death by his father.

 

He has lived in Cerro Gordo and Quincy before moving to Macomb in 2001.

 

Clint worked as a cable technician for Comcast and was a Professional Bull Rider for five years. He enjoyed fishing and was a stay at home dad taking care of Madison and Cale.

 

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Father Adam Stimpson officiating. There will be no visitation. The family will meet with friends following the service at the Wesley Village Community Center at 1200 East Grant Street, Macomb.

 

Memorials may be made to the Clint Reeves Memorial Fund to be used for his children's college or St. Jude's.

John S. Grathwohl

John Grathwohl, 80, of Mt. Pulaski, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

 

John was born on October 30, 1937, in Decatur, IL the son of Albert and Mary Jean (Pope) Grathwohl. He married Patricia Cooper on March 23, 1963, she survives in Mt. Pulaski. 

 

John is also survived by his sons, Greg (Teresa) Grathwohl and Todd (Elaina) Grathwohl; his step-grandchildren, Logan and Bella; his sister, Janice Colvin, of Quincy; and his brother, Richard Grathwohl, of Nebraska.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

 

John proudly served his country in the US Army from 1959-1961, he served in Germany for 17 months. He was very active at Zion Lutheran Church and School; where he served in various positions. John was a brick mason, laborer, and foreman from 1961-1975. John retired as a livestock and grain farmer after 38 years. He enjoyed country western dance, woodworking, and playing Pinochle with his family.

 

Services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL with Rev. Jonathan Beuscher officiating. Visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, also at the church. Burial will follow the services at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski. Grace was born October 18, 1922, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of William Henry and Fannie Eddie (Boyd) Hunt. She married Edward William Quick June 30, 1956, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He passed away February 23, 2006.

 

Survivors include her children, Brenda (Lowell) Stephens, Bradenton, FL, and Dennis (Judy) Quick, Effingham, IL; 15 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Son, Michael Quick, Daughter, Sandra Wardingley, 5 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

 

Grace was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, Decatur, Il. She enjoyed puzzles and playing cards. Grace was a die-hard Cubs fan.

Marvin E. Nelson

Marvin E. Nelson, 79, of Rural Bellflower, Illinois, passed away at 3:02 P.M., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois.

 

A Memorial Service will be at 4:30 P.M., Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Osman with Pastor Jeffrey McPike officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Building Fund. 

 

Marvin was born April 28, 1938, in Bellflower, Illinois, a son of Eugene T. and Mary Bunney Nelson. He married Joanne L. Schuldt on February 6, 1960, in Anchor, Illinois. She passed away on March 11, 2014.

 

He is survived by his children, Kenneth L. (Tama) Nelson of Hudson, Illinois and Mary B. (Chris) Duncan of Farmer City, Illinois; three grandchildren, Joanna Van Scoyoc; Hannah Marie Duncan; Tyler Duncan. Preceded in death by his wife, Joanne, parents, daughter, Karla Van Scoyoc, granddaughter, Amanda Jo Van Scoyoc and sister, Helen Jean Oliver.

 

Marvin was a farmer. He was an Army Veteran and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Osman.

Richard Gray officiating. Interment will be in Randolph Township Memorial Cemetery, Heyworth, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the funeral home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

Mr. Sizemore was born June 24, 1947, in Jackson, Kentucky, to Greenberry and Adna Mullins Sizemore. He married Patricia A. Morrow on May 22, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois. She survives in Heyworth, Illinois.

 

Fred is also survived by his three sons, Robert L. (Angie) Shults of Bloomington, Illinois, Randy F. (Pam) Sizemore of Tennessee, and Chris G. (Karen) Sizemore of Bloomington, Illinois; one daughter, Doris K. Sizemore of Chicago, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Nelson Sizemore of St. Louis, Missouri.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

 

Fred worked at Beer Nuts for 35 years.

 

He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Heyworth, Illinois.

Linus G. 'Lynn' Bruning

Linus G. “Lynn” Bruning, 92, of Le Roy, Illinois, passed away at 2:37 P.M., Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, Illinois.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 A.M., Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Mary’s Church of Downs with Father Dustin Schultz officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Le Roy, Illinois. A prayer service will start at 1:30 P.M., Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Le Roy, Illinois, with visitation from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. following the prayer service.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church of Downs.

 

Mr. Bruning was born June 7, 1925, in McLean County, Illinois, to Elmer and Veronica P. Roell Bruning. He married Dora Sidebottom on July 8, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois. She passed away June 12, 2011.

 

He is survived by his six sons, Garry (Linda) Bruning, Danny (Vickie) Bruning all of Le Roy, Illinois, Tom (Shelley) Bruning of Downs, Illinois, Bob (Stephanie) Bruning, Jeff (Courtney) Bruning, and Larry (Leslie) Bruning all of Le Roy, Illinois; four daughters, Janet (John) Toohill and DeeAnn (Mark) Wade all of Le Roy, Illinois, Linda (Greg) Cassidy of Bloomington, Illinois, and Laura (Dan) Nolan of Kewanee, Illinois; forty-two grandchildren; and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

Gabrielle "Gay” Marie Ruble Bowen, 64, of Lincoln died peacefully on February 14, 2018, at The Christian Village in Lincoln as a result of a stroke she suffered on October 4, 2015.

 

Gay was born March 18, 1953, in Lincoln, the only child of Earl and Florence (Wiltz) Ruble. She married Richard Piatchek on August 11, 1973, and had three daughters. They divorced in 1984. She married John Bowen on June 9, 1990. He survives in Quincy, IL.

Also, surviving are her daughters: Jennifer (Ryan) Keith of Lincoln, IL and Julie (Kris) Atwood of St. Joseph, IL. She has six amazing grandchildren who will miss their Mamaw every day: Madison, McGwire, McKenzie, and Miles Atwood of St. Joseph, IL, and Gracelyn and Emersyn Keith of Lincoln.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughter, Kristi Piatchek, who passed from a car accident May 11, 2001. It is a blessing to know they are now reunited in heaven.

 

She attended Carroll Catholic School, Lincoln Community High School, Springfield College in Illinois and the University of Illinois. She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Lincoln.

 

She worked at the Illinois Department of Revenue in the Willard Ice Building in Springfield for over 20 years, retiring in 2013, but returned part-time for the next few years as she missed her co-workers.

 

She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved to bake for The Logan County Fair, plan reunions and laugh a lot. She was a marvelous friend, generous and kind to all she met and will be missed by her family and friends desperately. 

 

Services for Gay will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will take place two hours prior to the service (9:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln. She married Scott Jennings on June 14, 2005 and he survives of Bement, IL., also surviving is a daughter; Megan (Brian) Kerls of Parker, CO., son; Brendan Wood of Denver, CO., 2 step-daughters; Sarah (Blake) West of Maroa, IL., and Amy (Ryan) Snow of Mahomet, IL., grandchildren; Lyla & Jonathan Kerls, Adelyn & Parker West, and Dylan Snow. Also surviving is her mother; Barbara Wood of Montgomery, TX., brother; Mike Wood of Montgomery, TX., sister; Cathy (Cal) Roth of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., and nephew; Blaise Roth of Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her father; Don Wood.

 

Susie adored her grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could. She loved visiting her family in Colorado, and also loved visiting Texas to spend time with her family there. She found joy in singing with the choir at St. Philomena's Catholic Church in Monticello., and she was passionate about gardening & birdwatching in her own backyard. She never missed an opportunity to help someone, and will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure to know and love her.

Betty was born April 25, 1927, in Lincoln, the daughter of Michael and Amelia (Klask) Dutz. She married Owen “Red” Eaton on Aug. 27, 1949, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1982.

 

Betty is survived by her children, Owen (Judy) Eaton and Teresa (Buster) Compton; her grandchildren, Shelley (Tony) Marsaglia, Owen (Teri) Eaton Jr., Sheryl Eaton, Kelly (Jake) Johnston, and Brandon (Kassi) Compton; and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; special friend, Lloyd Heidbreder; sisters and brothers, Charlie Dutz, Helen French, Emma Robbins, Louise Terrey, Louie Dutz and Mickey Dutz.

 

Services for Betty will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Robert farmed for 64 years and loved his family. He was an avid farming collector enthusiast. Robert was the past director of the Farm Bureau, past tax assessor of Barnett Township, a 4-H leader, and director of the DeWitt County Museum for many years. Robert was also a member of the Land of Lincoln Antique Tractor and Engine Club.

She was actively involved in the prison ministry as a faithful pen pal and adjustment facilitator. Barbara lived a God-centered, caring, always optimistic life.

Evelyn was born on June 25, 1935 in Chenoa, IL; the daughter of Louis and Ann (Gerwick) Jones. 

 

Evelyn is survived by her children: Deanna (Gabriel) Peterson of Yuma, AZ; Eric (Sara) Baker of Bloomington, IL; Ryan (Katana) Baker of Decatur, IL; and Monica (Robert) Smith of Bloomington, IL; her eight grandchildren: Elise, Andrew, Jacob, Megan, Isaac, Emma, Mara, and Aidan; and her sister, Marcia (John) Baker of Weldon, IL. Additionally, she is survived by her dear friends Laura, Maxine, and Nancy of Bloomington-Normal; and Jean of Lincoln.

 

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents.

 

She graduated from Chenoa High School where she played the piano, was in band, chorus, and honor society. Evelyn graduated from Arizona State University, where she graduated with high distinction. She was also a member of Psi Chi, Phi Delta Epsilon, Phi Kappa Phi, and Kappa Delta Pi; all honorary societies.

 

She taught English in Normal Unit 5 Schools, Marengo, IL and Hartsburg, IL. She was also a student at Millikin University, and Decatur School of Nursing.

 

Evelyn was active in several services in the community until her health failed her. 

She loved her children, grandchildren, and was very proud of them. She loved the Lord, her Savior.

 

Services for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at The First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, IL with Rev. Michael Paulson officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, (10:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the church. She passed away on June 19, 2004. He later married Fern Heck on July 31, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

He is survived by his wife, Fern McKinley of Farmer City, Illinois, and nephew, Stephen Lynn McKinley of Tempe Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne McKinley, parents, and brother, Richard McKinley.

 

Bob was an owner and operator of the Diamond Horseshoe Tavern in Farmer City, Illinois, for twenty-three years. He also worked as a truck driver, worked at Webb’s clothing store in Farmer City, Illinois, for nine years and was a custodian at the Clinton Power Station. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City, Illinois, and a member of the Fred G. O’Malley V.F.W. Post 6190, Farmer City, Illinois.

He currently worked for State Farm for the past 17 years. Prior to that, he worked on the Rust/Perring/Swartz farms for 41 years.

 

Elmo enjoyed volunteering at the Le Roy Emergency Ambulance Service as an ambulance driver for 30 years. He was a Le Roy 4-H Club leader and he enjoyed keeping stats for the Le Roy High School Football team. He was a member of the Le Roy Christian Church and served as a deacon and Sunday School secretary.

 

Elmo enjoyed his family and anyone that he came in contact with. He loved watching his grandkids and great-grandson play sports, along with camping and traveling. Anyone that knew him knows he always had a Dove chocolate to hand them.

Dick was born February 4, 1942, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Elza and Leona Stucker Albert. He married Martha Morris on June 18, 1977, in Bloomington, Illinois. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Martha Albert of Bloomington, Illinois; son, Todd Morris of Bloomington, Illinois; sisters, Dorothy Canon of Louisville, Kentucky, and Elizabeth Golden of Columbia, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Albert and Kenneth Albert.

 

Dick served in the U. S. Army from 1964-66 in the 556th Transportation Company. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 454 and a very proud veteran. Dick was the first player to make a basket in the Dud Berry gymnasium in Le Roy. He graduated from Le Roy High School in 1959. Returning from the Army Dick bought a 1966 Pontiac GTO as his first drag racing car. This began his passion for drag racing. In 1995, he rebuilt a Pontiac Firebird to drag race and continued to race until physical limitations set in. He worked as a crew foreman for Corn Belt Energy for 37 years, retiring in 2004. In his free time, he loved to play golf and softball.

 

The family would like to give a special thank you to the OSF doctors and nurses, the Veterans Administration, and Res-Care of Bloomington for all their devotion toward Dick’s care.

 

He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and devoted friend and will be deeply missed.

Dean Horn, 88, passed away at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, IL on February 10, 2018.

 

Dean worked with his brother Delbert "Preach” Horn, running the Standard Oil Station located on the square in Mt. Pulaski, IL for approximately 44 years.

 

Dean was a devoted husband to his late wife Georgiann, whom he married on January 16, 1959, in Mt. Pulaski, IL. She preceded him in death on February 10, 1986. Dean was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews and their families.

 

Dean’s hobbies included gardening and earlier in life fishing. He was fond of motorcycles and scooters all his life. Throughout his life, he enjoyed watching high school and college basketball games and also Major League Baseball. Dean was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953.

 

Surviving Dean are two nephews: Kevin (Susan) Horn of Mt. Pulaski, IL and Edwin (Yvonne) Horn of Streator, IL; two nieces: Karen Colliver of Heyworth, IL and Debra Glueck of Morton, IL; one sister-in-law: Norma Dukett of Bloomington, IL; his cousin’s son: Dennis Beggs of Mt. Pulaski, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Emerson and Delbert.

 

Services for Dean will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Fricke-Calvert- Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski, IL with Casey McCormick officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior (9:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home. Burial at Mt. Pulaski Cemetery will follow the service where full military rites will be accorded. Survivors include her husband, Steve McHood, Argenta, IL; parents, John and MaryAnn Ragle, Argenta, IL; children: Sarah (Richard Hale) McHood, Argenta, IL and Jill (Brian Jones) McHood, Edinburg, TX; 5 grandchildren: Keegan McHood, Brock Wade, Ireland McHood-Wade, Brylan McHood, and Griffin Hale; siblings: Eric (Tobey) Ragle, Argenta, IL; Mike Ragle, Argenta, IL; and Carol (Lynn) Cook, Maroa, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Geneva Moore and Vern and Hazel Ragle, and her son-in-law Michael “Abe” Wade.

 

Kathy worked at D.M.H. as an Ultrasound Technologist for 25 years. She loved her family and spending time with them but most of all, her grandchildren were her life.

Norma Graue

Norma Graue of Lincoln passed away Thursday (Feb. 8, 2018) at Timber Creek, Lincoln.

 

She was born in Chester Township on Aug. 29, 1924, the daughter of Robert (Jack) and Edna Huffman, and was a graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She married Darrell L. Graue on Dec. 15, 1945, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2003. They farmed in Elkhart for 37 years before retiring to Lincoln in 1983.

 

She was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother her whole life, and worked as a secretary and office manager at Row Motors for over 20 years. She was an avid bridge and pinochle player, and loved playing cards with her friends and grandkids.

 

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Row Fulkerson, Lincoln; one son, Dennis Graue, Lincoln; three grandsons, Eric (Traci) Graue, Lincoln; Chad (Katie) Graue, Chatham; and Seth Graue, Lincoln; and six great-grandchildren, Lauren Jean Graue, Abbie Jane Graue, Andrew Daniel Graue, Griffin Matthew Graue, Parker Conrad Graue and Carson Michael Graue.

 

The family is extremely grateful to Dr Melissa Cox, Dr. Kristen Green, Memorial Home Services Hospice Care, and to the staff at Timber Creek Village for all their love, support and excellent care.

 

A private family graveside will be Monday.

Russell D. "Rusty" Purlee, 57, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at his sister's home in Bloomington.

 

Funeral Services for Rusty will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Waynesville Christian Church with Mr. David Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville.

Russell David Purlee was born on August 20, 1960, in Clinton, the son of Linda K. Purlee.

 

He is survived by his children: Amanda Purlee and Candice Purlee; mother: Dorothy Rich; his siblings: Connie (Mike) Underwood, Clint Valentine, Mike Valentine, Connie Coone, Bonnie Coone, Melissa (Pat) Lee, Randy (Wanda) Rich, Roger (Michelle) Rich, Rachel Simpson, and Rita Mann; and five grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, Isaac, Jenna, and Damien.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother: Linda Purlee Valentine and his father: Max Rich.

 

Rusty was a member of the Waynesville Christian Church.  He was employed as a Mental Health Technician for 24 years by the State of Illinois.

 

Rusty was an avid Cardinals fan and morel mushroom hunter.  He loved to play pool and was a Waynesville member of the American Poolplayers Association, playing in the World Championship in 2017.  He collected baseball cards, was a member of the Sons of American Legion in Waynesville, and enjoyed shooting off fireworks.

Jennifer was born on December 28, 1950, in Champaign, Illinois, to Ervan and Carol Pendleton Gawthorp. She married Thomas Henson on December 30, 1968, in Le Roy, Illinois. He survives. 

 

She is also survived by her daughter, Cathy (Rich) Roth; son, Matt (Rebecca) Holderby; sisters, Peggy Kuykendall, Chris Harlan and Sheila Dunbar; brother, Danny Gawthorp; grandchildren, Ainsley; Nolan; Krysten; Matthew; Garrett; and Gabe.

 

She was preceded in death by father; mother; stepfather, Russell Fonger; sister, Carla “Penny” Kirby; and brother, Greg Gawthorp.

 

Jennifer attended Le Roy High School. She worked at the Union Hall in Bloomington for twenty years. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving wife; mother; sister; devoted friend; and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandkids. Jennifer will be deeply missed.

 Barney "Butch” Hildebrandt, 61, of Athens passed away on February 6, 2018, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. 

 

Butch was born July 26, 1956, in Lincoln, the Son of Bernard "Barney” and Mary (Rankin) Hildebrandt. He married Roberta "Bert” Zumwalt on August 7, 1976, in Emden, IL. She survives in Athens, IL.

 

Butch is also survived by his sister, Deborah (Hildebrandt) Skelton; his brother, Wayne Hildebrandt; and his brother-in-law, Larry (Cathy) Zumwalt. Additionally, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Rhonda Hildebrandt.

 

Butch was a long time member of The First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, IL.

 

Services for Butch will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at The First United Methodist Church in Lincoln. Donald was born December 2, 1934, in Clinton, IL the son of Carl V. and Eleanor (Humphrey) Devore. He married Pearl L. Dubson January 24, 1953, in Bible Grove, Il. She passed away May 27, 2010.

James Daniels

James "Jamie” Daniels Jr., 44, passed away at 6:17 p.m. on February 5, 2018, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.

 

Jamie was born on August 16, 1973, in Lincoln, IL; son of James and Cheryl (Lowe) Daniels. They survive him. He married Angie Scheurer in March 2006. She survives him.

 

Also surviving Jamie are his children: Allaniee Merritt, Jonathan (Charissa) Ingram, Katherine (Alex) Vieregge, James Daniels III, Gage Daniels, Jake Scheurer, and Chelsea Scheurer; his siblings: Jessica (David"Tubby”) Sullivan, Joseph (Jamie) Daniels, and Jerry (Elizabeth) Daniels; one granddaughter: Layla Diberardino.

 

Jamie loved music, especially playing drums and guitar. He also enjoyed spending time fishing and spending time with his children.

J.R. (John Robert) Black

JR Black, age 78, died February 2, 2018, in Kankakee, IL at Riverside Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Deanna, three children Lon (Bobbi) of Eagan, MN, Mike (Barbara) of Fall River, WI, Carrie (David Graf) of Momence, IL and four grandchildren, Jordan, Lauren, Elise, and Cade. His two sisters Rebecca Thoms of Clinton, IL and Linda Chockley of Lincoln, IL along with half-sister Ruth Tannehill of Troy, MO also survive. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy (Lambert) Black, brother Frank and half-sister Rose Marie Kelly.

 

Born July 18, 1939, in Clinton, IL, JR graduated from Clinton High School class of 1957 and Illinois State University class of 1961. Attending ISU on a football and state teacher’s scholarship, he competed in football and track becoming captain, all-conference, athletic hall member, and IIAC record-holder. He began his teaching and coaching career at Herscher High School before moving to Kankakee High School, Eastridge High School and finally, to Westview High School as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. He was proud to have the Westview football field named in his honor. During his educational career, JR went on to receive his Masters Degree and Advance Certificate from the University of Illinois. He was named to the Kankakee District 111 Hall of Fame, Outstanding Educator and three-time District Athletic Director of the year. In 1979, JR left education for a business career and served on the Downtown Business Association and on the Kankakee Chamber of Commerce board. Before retiring in 2002, he returned to education as an administrator at the Kankakee Area Career Center.

 

JR was a lifelong active conservationist and a charter member of the Northern Illinois Anglers serving many years as President and Executive Director. He was dedicated to protecting, restoring and enhancing the Kankakee River and founded many key events including the Fishing Derby and the adopt-a-river program. He served as chair, founder and advisor of various Kankakee commissions, alliances, and boards including the Kankakee River Valley Whitetails while holding memberships in numerous organization dedicated to preserving and benefiting the environment. JR was a statewide delegate in the Conservation Congress assemblies, Governor Edgar’s appointment to the Land Use and Water Resource Task Force and inducted into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2004. JR received many other awards and designations honoring his lifelong passion, respect, and commitment to the natural resources he so enjoyed.

 

Visitation will be Friday, February 9 from 4-8pm at the Schreffler Funeral Home of Kankakee. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 10 at 10 am with visitation 1 hour prior at the Asbury United Methodist Church of Kankakee with the Reverend Scott Henley officiating. Graveside burial services will be 2:30 pm the Texas Township Cemetery in Clinton, IL.

Moulton D. Dowell

Moulton D. Dowell, 82, passed away at 2:35 a.m. on February 4, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

 

Moulton was born on September 26, 1935, in Menard County, IL; son of Rube and Hazel (Pierce) Dowell. He married Twila Altig on July 29, 1962, in Greenview, IL. She survives him.

 

Also surviving is his daughter: Amy (Jeff) Edwards of Ballwin, MO; three grandchildren: Olivia, Cole, and Jackson all of Ballwin, MO; his siblings: James "J.E.” (Joyce) Dowell of Colorado Springs, CO, Marcella Edwards of Springfield, IL, twin brother Bob G. (Betty) Dowell of Springfield, IL, and Robbie Dowell of Athens, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: JoAnn Plummer and Lillian Kirby, and an infant brother: Raymond.

 

Moulton attended Elkhart Christian Church, was a member of Elkhart American Legion, and was the Hurlbut Township Commissioner. He enjoyed spending time with his family and above all else, he had a huge personality and loved joking with people. He also enjoyed gardening and collecting toy tractors. By many, he will be remembered for his infectious smile. He retired from Fiat-Allis after 40 years, and he worked for the Illinois Secretary of State.

 

Services for Moulton will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Elkhart Christian Church with Stacy Popejoy officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL. Charles W. Anderson

Charles W. Anderson Jr., 95, formerly of Lincoln passed away at 10:55 a.m. on February 3, 2018 at Martin Health Center in Bloomington.

 

Charles was born on February 4, 1922 in Lincoln, IL; son of Charles W. and Emma (Schwantz) Anderson Sr. He married Mary Jane Gayle on July 22, 1945 in Lincoln, IL. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2015.

 

Charles is survived by two daughters: Virginia Gayle Johnson, wife of Kenneth who reside in Sterling, Illinois and Susan Elizabeth Anderson, wife of Carl Bennett who reside in Bloomington, Illinois. He has six grandchildren: Darren Johnson (Meredith), Kathryn Stroyan, Emily Bozek (Joseph), Peter Stroyan (Jennifer), Teri Johnson, and David Bennett. Charles is survived by eight great-grandchildren: Alikah Marshall, Aiden and Piper Stroyan, Alexander and Jackson Johnson, Travis Campbell, William and Teddy Bozek.

 

Charles was on the board of American Red Cross of Logan County for 17 years, with 15 years being the Chairman. During the time the chapter grew from blood bank only to a full activities chapter; which means an office with paid staff members, detail disaster plans, first aid and CPR classes. Other programs that were established: Fire and Tornado Relief and Chemical and hazardous Materials Handling procedures. Charles personally trained guards for first aid and CPR when the prison opened and has personally been an active blood donor, providing 12 gallons of blood over the 17 years. His chapter had received an award for being one of the top chapters in the country. He received the Clara Barton Medal for service of only 2 persons in Logan County to receive the award in the history of the chapter. 

 

Charles was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, IL, where he served as Superintendent of Sunday School, provided guidance to remodel classrooms to be more functional and efficient. He worked with the church youth by raising money for turkey dinners to the community, served as a lay pastor for area churches when their ministers were on vacations, and served as Trustee of Church Board. He also served on the Lincoln Elementary School Board for 9 years, a number of those years as President. More recently he has been a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington.

 

Charles joined the Masonic Lodge in 1942 and became a Master Mason in 1976. He started the Lincoln Masonic Foundation with $1,100.00.It has since grown over $60,000.00. He was also a member of the Knights of the Cross of Honor, and is a 32nd Degree Mason. In 2015 he received the 70 year member award.

 

In the community Charles worked as a postman, a union leader until he became supervisor. He led and assisted in fund raising drives to improve the community, including United Way and even the funds in 1954 to help establish the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He was the Lincoln Courier Citizen of the year in 2003.

Charles enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1940 where he trained as a flight engineer. He was a member of the 15th Air Corps and flew in a B-24 Heavy Bomber from a base in Italy. On his 8th mission in August of 1944, his plane was shot down, and he helped a number of his crewmates prepare and proceed to parachute out. They landed in occupied area and were they were captured and became POWS. Sometime through the experience his left leg was wounded. He was awarded 2 Purple Heart Medals.

 

Visitation for Charles will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Thursday February 8, 2018 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL with Rev. John Richmond officiating. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. continued by Masonic Services also at the funeral home. Burial at New Union Cemetery will follow, where full military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post#263. Memorials may be made in Charles name to the Lincoln Masonic Foundation INC or St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

 

Mary Lou Jason

Mary Lou was born on September 17, 1934, in Livingston County, IL; daughter of Frederick and Helen E. (Stahler) Schmitt. She married Royal L. “Doc” Jason on June 19, 1954, in Henry, IL, he preceded her in death on October 28, 2010.

 

Surviving Mary Lou are her children: Steven (Michelle) Jason of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Kevin (Patty) Jason of Chestnut, IL, Royal “Doc” (Cheryl) Jason of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Rhonda (Ben) McCarty of Buffalo, IL, Frederick Jason of Mt. Survivors include her husband, Terry L. Lubbers, Weldon, IL; children: Cynthia (James) Megenhardt, St. Elmo, IL; and Mark (Tena Moore) Lubbers, Champaign, IL; 3 grandchildren: Hannah, Mary, and John David, St. Elmo, IL; sister, Margaret Baylor, Decatur, IL.

 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sons, Roger and Timothy. 

 

Carolyn worked at Parkland College from 1974 – 1978 and worked at the Peoples’ State Bank in Weldon, IL. She continued working at Parkland’s bookstore. She loved being a homemaker and raising a family. Carolyn enjoyed walking. She was involved with being a 4-H leader in Weldon, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, and Decatur Walk for the Cure. The Weldon United Methodist Church was very important to her where she was a “soul winner” for Christ, and she loved being part of funeral dinners.

Joyce Idell Piatt 86 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 11:32 PM February 2, 2018, at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Visitation will be 10 – 11 A.M. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL. Graveside services will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with prayers given by J. Kent Hickerson.

Joyce was born September 22, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Merrill and Lida (McCord) Nebold. She married Robert E. Piatt March 8, 1953, in Clinton, IL. He passed away March 9, 2002.

 

Survivors include her children: John Piatt, Clinton, IL, David (Gail) Piatt, Farmer City, IL;

3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 step-grandchildren; 9 great-step-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

 

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law: Susan Piatt, and sister: Norma Nunnery.

 

Joyce worked for Dr. Myers and Dr. Viers for several years. She enjoyed having lunch with her friends and classmates, cross-stitching and reading Stephen King novels. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a diehard Cubs Fan. The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Dr. Rauch, Manor Court, and their wonderful staff.

Joyce Elaine Neil, 78, formerly of Saybrook, Illinois, passed away at 12:33 A.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Le Roy Manor, Le Roy, Illinois.

 

Her visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 5, 2018, at Wesbein United Methodist Church, Saybrook, Illinois. The funeral will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Wayne Giermann officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saybrook, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the grandchildren’s college education fund in c/o Shannon Brooks. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Saybrook, Illinois, in charge of the arrangements.

 

Joyce was born November 21, 1939, in Saybrook, Illinois, a daughter of Clyde Elmer and Jessie M. Brittin Furnish. She married Charles Paul Neil on November 23, 1963, in Saybrook, Illinois. He passed away on April 2, 2016.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon (Tim) Brooks of Farmer City, Illinois; son, Shawn (Terri) Neil of Potomac, Illinois; five grandchildren, Chelsea Brooks; Ariel Neil; Jordan Neil; Connor Yoak; and Noah Brooks; sister, Barbara Elledge of Deer Creek, Illinois. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

 

Joyce was a former owner and operator of a craft store in Saybrook, Illinois. She worked as a graphic artist at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Illinois. Joyce was a member of the Wesbein United Methodist Church, Saybrook, Illinois.

Randy was born August 4, 1967, in Decatur, IL the son of Russell Charles and Patricia Ann (West) Buchanan. 

 

Survivors include his mother, Patricia Ann Buchanan, Decatur, IL; father, Russell Charles (Barb) Buchanan, Decatur, IL; siblings, Jamie Paulette (Russell) Snoke, Mt. Zion, IL; William Lester Cook, North Dakota; Rodney Charles Buchanan, Decatur, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Randy loved the outdoors, gardening, and was an avid Bible reader.

Survivors include her husband: Emmett “Doc” Cundiff, Sullivan, IL; children; Emmy (Harold “Harry”) Daniels, Clinton, IL; Carol (Allen) Cripe, Mooresburg, TN; Christopher Scott Cundiff, Sullivan, IL; 4 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Sister; Mary Linthicum, Clinton, IL.

 

Doris was preceded in death by her Parents, 1 Daughter, Donna Hicks and Half-Brother, Tommy Tucker.

 

Doris and her husband, “Doc” owned and operated Cundiff’s Carpet Service, Clinton, IL for 57 years. She loved to attend auctions in the local area.
