Surviving are his wife, Emogene; daughter, Mary Lou Brehmer and husband Gary of Strasburg; brother-in-law, Harold Kircher and wife Nancy of Decatur; sister-in-law, Francis Adkins of Mattoon; two grandsons, Seth Brehmer of Strasburg and Zed Brehmer and wife Brandi of Strasburg; and one great granddaughter, Emma Louise Brehmer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carroll, Floyd and Ithiel Adkins; and granddaughter, Courtney Brehmer.

David M. Dougherty, Sr., 71, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011. David "Dave" Dougherty Sr. was born November 14, 1939, in Decatur, the son of John R. and Wilma Kathryn (Buzan) Dougherty. He was an active member of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church. He owned and operated several family businesses including the D&D Shell/Marathon service stations for 50 years, located at Grand & Water, until his retirement in 2007. The 74-year-old family business was his passion and he valued each and every customer. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, boating, and playing cards at the family's lake house in Effingham, IL. He also shared his love of cars with his grandkids; working at the station and teaching them to drive his old cars. Dave married Karen Alsbury September 19, 1959 and she preceded him in death on April 24, 1987. He then married Joan E. Bruner on May 15, 1998 and she survives. DECATUR - Mildred (Billie) Henry, 102, of Decatur died October 6 in Cincinnati, Ohio, after a short illness. She was born March 9, 1909 in Barclay, daughter of George Thomas and Susan Gertrude (Yocom) Hickman. Billie graduated from Williamsville High School in 1927 and attended Brown Business College in Springfield. She was married toe J. Harold (Dutch) Henry in 1930 and moved to Decatur. They had two daughters, Nancy (Pat) Boylson and Sally (Ed) Kuny. Billie was above all a homemaker, wife, and mother. She was active in PTA and Girl Scouts while her daughters were growing up. She was a caring, loving grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend to many young and old. She had a special love for children and animals. Billie spent many hours in volunteer work in the community and in her church, First United Methodist where she was a member for over 78 years. She especially enjoyed her church circle and her Tri Psi membership. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, four sisters, and grandson Greg Boylson. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, 42 great grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 12 nieces and nephews, several cousins, and special neighbors. Mr. Clinton Garbs of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Washington County Hospital at Nashville, IL on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 5 A.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10 A.M. from the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville with Pastor Jeffrey Schwab officiating. Interment will be in the St. Peter Cemetery in Okawville with graveside rites by American Legion Post #233. Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Friday from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour. Should friends desire memorials may be made to the Special Olympics or to the Irvington Food Pantry and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
