Mary Lou Jason

Mary Lou Jason, 83, of Mt. Pulaski, IL passed away at 7:18 p.m. on February 2, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center.
 
Mary Lou was born on September 17, 1934, in Livingston County, IL; daughter of Frederick and Helen E. (Stahler) Schmitt. She married Royal L. “Doc” Jason on June 19, 1954, in Henry, IL, he preceded her in death on October 28, 2010.
 
Surviving Mary Lou are her children: Steven (Michelle) Jason of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Kevin (Patty) Jason of Chestnut, IL, Royal “Doc” (Cheryl) Jason of Mt. Pulaski, IL, Rhonda (Ben) McCarty of Buffalo, IL, Frederick Jason of Mt. Pulaski, IL, and Lyndon (Mindy) Jason of Heyworth, IL; her siblings: Father Harold Schmitt of Henry, IL, Richard (Barb) Schmitt of Tiskilwa, IL, Jerry Schmitt of Henry, IL, Sharon Jason (George) of Lacon, IL, Joy (Butch) Wunder of Lacon, Il, Betty Shearer of Henry, IL, and Pam (Ernie) Waldschmidt of Lacon, IL; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry.
 
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas and American Legion Auxiliary in Magnolia, IL. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and playing cards.
 
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Mt. Pulaski, IL with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to service (9:00-11:00 a.m.). Burial at Steenbergen Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be made in Mary Lou’s name to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or Alzheimer’s Association. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, IL.
