Koby Dureal Reynolds

In Loving Memory of Koby Dureal Reynolds, 27 of Decatur, IL, who passed away 12:35 A.M. December 26, 2025 in rural Clinton, IL.

Services for Koby will be 1 PM Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, IL. Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Koby Reynolds Memorial Fund c/o Amy Reynolds.

Koby was truly one of a kind — the kind of soul you don’t come across often and never forget once you do. He was a devoted father, a loving son, a loyal brother, and a friend who loved hard, laughed louder, and showed up fully for the people he cared about.

He was the proud and loving father of Keilana Reynolds and Zelynn Reynolds both of Clinton. His children were his greatest joy, his greatest purpose, and his greatest love. Everything Koby did carried their names in his heart, and his love for them will forever be a guiding light in their lives.

Koby was born April 22, 1998 in Decatur, IL the cherished son of Amy (Bateson) Reynolds of Decatur and Phillip Reynolds of Farmer City, raised with love and strength that shaped the man he became. He was a brother to Christian Reynolds, Jon Reynolds of Decatur, and Isaih Reynolds of Decatur, — bonded not only by blood, but by shared memories, laughter, and an unbreakable connection that time can never undo. Grandson of maternal grandmother, Rhonda Bateson of Clinton and paternal grandfather, Francisco Jacinto.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Christian Reynolds, paternal grandmother, Lindsay McCoy, paternal grandfather, Dennis Reynolds, maternal great grandmother, Barbara Bateson.

Koby had a soul drawn to the outdoors. He found peace with a fishing pole in hand, excitement while mushroom hunting, and joy in the simple moments spent under open skies. He was the life of the party — the one with the infectious laugh, the unforgettable stories, and the ability to turn ordinary moments into memories people would talk about for years.

But above all else, Koby had one of the biggest hearts. He loved deeply, cared fiercely, and gave freely of himself. He made people feel seen, welcomed, and understood. His presence alone brought comfort, laughter, and warmth.

Koby’s life was not measured by time, but by love — and by that measure, his life was full beyond words. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in his children, his family, his friends, and every story shared in his honor.

He will be missed in ways words cannot fully express and loved in ways that will never fade.

Some people leave footprints, Koby Reynolds left heartprints. Forever remembered. Forever loved. Forever Koby.

Sandra Lee Archey, 82, of Rochester, Illinois, formerly of Clinton, Illinois, passed away Friday evening, December 12th, peacefully, surrounded by her family at The Carriages of Rochester.  Sandy and her identical twin sister, Sonia Hall, were born September 18, 1943, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughters of Charles and Kathryn Strohl.  On August 23, 1964, she married the love of her life, Gary Archey, in Bement, Illinois.

After she and Gary settled in Clinton, Illinois, she continued teaching art at Wapella Schools and later at Heyworth Schools, sharing her creativity and love of art with countless students. Her classroom was a place of encouragement and imagination, where every child was reminded that art – and life – were meant to be joyful acts of creation.

Her greatest masterpiece, however, was her family.  She poured her creativity and love into raising her two children, filling their lives with imagination, joy, and wonder, and later did the same for her three grandchildren.  Family and friends were the center of her world.  She never missed an opportunity to be present, whether sitting through rain-soaked sporting events, attending dance recitals, or watching school plays and musicals.  Summers with her as a mother or grandmother were magical, full of joy, and filled with countless smiles and much laughter.  Her pride and her love for her family were limitless.

Sandy never met a stranger, thriving on connections and relationships with others.  She had an uncanny ability to draw out someone’s life story over a train ride to Chicago or while sitting in a waiting room for an appointment.  Her wickedly cheeky, sometimes dark sense of humor, and her ever-present smile reflected a boundless optimism and warmth that touched everyone who knew her.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at Clinton Country Club Saturday, December 20, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m., with the service at 11 a.m.  The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements. A talented artist, she painted in oils for more than 70 years and found joy in crafts, quilting, and cooking. A devoted reader, she often finished two books a week and was always seeking a new story to dive into, frequently borrowing books from friends to satisfy her love of reading. (Rhodes) Toohill, Sr. While finishing his Master’s Degree in Agriculture Business at Southern Illinois University, he met and married his college sweetheart, JoAnne Christine Toohill; they were married in Bellona, NY, in November of 1984. They had two children, Brian Thomas Toohill and Emily Christine Toohill, to whom he was always their rock - there was never any doubt that their health and happiness were his number one priority. Whether it was heating his house with corn because LP had gotten too expensive or eating pork chops and sweet corn with every meal much to his children’s displeasure, one thing is for certain: he was into sustainable agriculture before it was cool. Known to most others as “Uncle Tommy,” he left all who knew him with their own stories to tell, but nobody could argue that he had a heart of gold and his intentions were pure.
