Kay A. Steward 65 of Clinton, IL passed away surrounded by her husband and children at 5:02 PM November 27, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Private family services will be Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at McClimans Cemetery, Hallsville, IL. A celebration of Kay’s life will be at a later date.

Kay was born September 16, 1956 in Decatur, IL the daughter of David Richard and Shirley (Bahlow) Goodman. She married Bill Steward March 18, 1977 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include her devoted husband of over forty years, Bill Steward, Clinton, IL; children, Bill (Lori) Steward, Jr., Kenney, IL, Kelli (Jarrod) Krall, Clinton, IL, and Jamie (Christopher Hernandez) Steward, Lincoln, IL, grandchildren, Ella & Lucas Steward, Piper Pastore Lincoln Krall, Triston & Lily Hernandez; along with brothers, Greg Goodman, AZ, and Steve Goodman, FL.

Her life's work and joy was raising her children. She is remembered for her nurturing spirit and how she often took others under her wing as a surrogate mother. Her ability to commit hilarious blunders and laugh at herself remains unsurpassed. She loved music, especially when played by her son; finishing an entire book in a day; eating pie from the center of the tin outward; and feeling the warmth of the sun while relaxing in a lawn chair.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Kay shared a particularly close bond with her father and grandmother. 

 Janice Lynn “Jan” Trummel, 64, of Lane, IL went to the arms of Jesus on November 26, 2021, at Farmer City Rehab Center, Farmer City, IL. Jan was born December 7, 1956, in Ann Arbor, MI. She was the daughter of James Kelly and Charlotte Ann (Lindbom) Ottmann. After completing her bachelor’s degree in sociology at Illinois State University, she moved to the Clinton area, where she met and married Mike Trummel May 31, 1980, in Lane, IL.

Jan was a member of Lane Christian Church, where she served as the part-time office manager. She was active on the Clinton YMCA board of directors, and an assistant swim team coach there for several years. She retired from First National Bank, Clinton, IL in 2016. Jan enjoyed running races and spending time with her running group. She enjoyed traveling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Trummel, Lane, IL; children, Katie (Travis) Meeker, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kelly (Bethany) Trummel, of Waynesville, IL; and her sister, Joan (Ron) Rhoades, of Clinton, as well as six nephews and a niece. She particularly enjoyed building Legos with her four grandchildren, Alex and Evelyn Meeker, and Jacob and Charlotte Trummel. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday December 4, 2021, at the Lane Christian Church, Lane, IL with Jim Kilson officiating.  Geraldine “Jerri” Y. Durbin 80 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 4:19 PM November 29, 2021 surrounded by her family at her residence.

Jerri was born May 17, 1941 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Robert and Ruby (Owens) Willis. She married James Durbin July 5, 1959 in Clinton, IL.

Jerri was preceded in death by her parents.

Jerri enjoying watching sports and bowling.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Jerry Dale Richards 69 of Weldon, Illinois passed away 9:45 A.M. November 23, 2021 at his family residence, Weldon, Il.

Harry H. Shifflet, age 91 of Waynesville, IL, the son of George H. and Elizabeth (Burke) Shifflet passed peacefully at 7:57 PM November 19, 2021 at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski, IL after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be postponed until Spring of 2022. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Harry was born February 9, 1930 in Bloomington, IL. He married Martha Ann Tygrest in June, 1950.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Martha Ann Shifflet; daughter, Leslie Glennie; son, Eric (Betsy) Shifflet; and daughter, Lee (Terry) Stolarski; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and his pet Yorkie, Joey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Harry served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952.  He was a member of the Waynesville American Legion Post 1189 and served as Commander in his earlier years.

Harry retired from Caterpillar Tractor in 1985 after 35 years of service.  He was a 64 year member of the Masonic Lodge AF & AM and Bloomington Consistory and had attained his 32nd Degree. 

Harry spent all of his life in Waynesville, IL.  He was a good friend to all.  His hobby was his prize garden that he shared with everyone. 

Our Dad was a Great Man, loved by all and will be missed by all.  Our sincere thanks to Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Wayne K. "Gus" Otto, 75, of Lincoln, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at OSF St. Joseph Hospital in Bloomington. 

Visitation will be held at Peasley Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. 

A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Jefferson Street Christian Church in Lincoln. 

Burial with military rights and Honor Guard will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Presentation of the flag will be given by the Marine Corps League. 

Wayne Kenneth Otto was born July 11, 1946, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Harvey John Otto and Mary Louise Nugent Otto. The day he was born, the nurses in the hospital referred to him as “Gruntin’ Gus,” and the nickname “Gus” stuck. Gus was united in marriage to Nancy Kay Sparks on May 19, 1979, at the Lincoln Christian Church. She survives. 

Gus is also survived by three daughters: Shannon (Chad) Lockhart of Beaumont, TX, Amber (David) Brainard of Lincoln, and Heather  (Joe Archer) Otto of Oceanside, CA; two grandchildren: Zachary Wayne Engelmann and Teaghan Jolane Archer; one sister: Karen (Bill) Cole and many, many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his best buddy and loyal canine companion, Gustopher Begley. 

Gus moved to Lincoln his sophomore year and graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1964. Although he was not yet 18, with his parents’ authorization he immediately enlisted into the United States Marine Corps. Gus proudly served our country during the Vietnam War and would still say it was his greatest honor. He was a lifelong member of the VFW and former Commander of Lincoln Post 1756 Cronin Brothers Post from 1970-1971 and again from 1979 - 1980. 

When Gus returned home from Vietnam, he held positions at various businesses including Pittsburg Plate & Glass, Myers Industries, Lincoln City Police, and General Manager at Frank’s Oldsmobile GMC. In the late 60s and early 70s, he owned and operated the bars, Sugar Shack and Gus & Dan’s. While working, he pursued a degree in Contractual Law at Lincolnland Community College and then Sangamon State University. 

Gus started working at Caterpillar in 1978 - a factory job that evolved into an IT career and a relationship that would span more than 30 years. He was considered a true visionary in research & development and had early involvement in bringing video streaming and conferencing technology to the world. In 2000, he was recognized as one of the top 100 IT leaders in the world, and in 2001, he received honors and an award for being considered one of the top 10 IT leaders in the world. 

Even though Gus fell in love with the “computer world," he remained true to his first love... pool. He was known as a "legendary" pool player who, in earlier years, traveled the country shooting pool. In later years, he got a lot of joy from mentoring the younger players and passing on what he referred to as his “legacy.” He held membership in both the American Pool Association and Billiard Congress of America. He was the BCA league operator in Logan County from 2007-2013. Along with his wife, Nancy, and longtime friend, Dave Bixler, Gus owned Legends Billiards Bar from 2007-2010. Following that, Gus owned and operated Pool Hall Junkies - an elite pool club intended to provide a space for serious pool players to perfect their game and foster more positive relationships. 

Gus lived in Lincoln for most of his life. He and his family relocated to Morton in 1989 and then to New Holland in 1990. He served as Mayor, Chief of Police and Justice of the Peace in New Holland from 1996-1999 before returning to Lincoln. 

Gus was firmly planted in his Christian faith and was led to become an ordained minister in 2013. It was through this process that Gus reaffirmed his relationship with God. 

Gus spent his golden years enjoying nature, taking regular trips to the parks around Lincoln with his wife and dog. He also enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds, researching everything online, any time spent with his family, trying new restaurants and “stirring the pot” on Facebook. 

Gus truly appreciated life and everyone who came into his. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you bring any photos to share and stories to write down, so the memories of Gus continue to live on.

Larry was born August 16, 1949 in Ames, IA the son of Oscar and Eleanor (Phillips) Cowman.  He married Patricia Ann Davis on August 31, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV.

After graduating from Narbonne High School and attending Harbor City College, Larry enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He was later employed by the Federal Government (Civil Service) and was involved in the Space Shuttle program in Palmdale, CA.  When the program was over, he was transferred to Edwards Air Force Base as Program Manager where he worked on the SR-71 “Blackbird” which was operated by the USAF and NASA.

Most of all, Larry loved his family, work, and his Harley.

Patricia was born January 8, 1937 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Orville and Lavon (Bray) Willoughby.. She married Charles Robert “Bob” Lord, Sr. February 27, 1954. He passed away June 16, 2017.

Patricia retired from Revere-Corning and just received a plaque designating 50 years of service. She loved to bowl, dance, roller-skate, and spend time with friends and family..  She enjoyed the yearly trips to Las Vegas or the boat trips to Peoria. All knew her love for Elvis who was born the same day as her.  She was often called the life of the party; her strong, loving nature will be missed by many.

Kenneth served his country in the Army. He retired from G.T.E. after 40 years of service. Kenneth’s passion was playing and singing in bands since 1966. The last 28 years he played at the Bement Country Opry. He enjoyed motorcycles and going to car shows.

Paul was born March 2, 1937 in Creston, IL the son of John and Vera (Riddell) Fabris. He married Carol Ann Meteer August 27, 1961.. She passed away January 18, 2013.

Patricia A. Glenn, 78, of New Holland, passed away November 3, 2021, at 11:13 a.m. at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Glenn, 89, on August 1, 2021, who died at home. Cremation Rites were accorded to both. Private graveside services were held at Irish Grove Cemetery on their 47th wedding anniversary. 

A Celebration of Life for Patricia and James A. will be hosted on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Lincoln Elks Lodge #914 from 3:30 pm. to 6:30 p.m. by their son, James R. (JR) Glenn, who survives them.  

Masonic Rites by Lincoln Lodge #210 will begin at 3:00 p.m. 

Patricia A. Halcott was born March 12, 1943, on her family's Centennial Farm near Streator, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Charles and Lucinda Mae McCauley Halcott. She was united in marriage to James A. Glenn on November 9, 1974. James A. Glenn was born in the family home in Middletown on December 27, 1931, the son of Edward R. and Frances May Fulton Glenn. 

Patricia was a 1961 graduate of Streator High School and also a graduate of Illinois State University and the University of Illinois, holding a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a master's degree in Educational Psychology, and a PhD in Educational Administration.  Patricia was an educator who began teaching business subjects at Beason High School until it consolidated with Lincoln Community High School, at which time she became a high school guidance counselor at Lincoln. She retired from that position in May 2001. She subsequently became a real estate agent and earned her broker manager license and green certifications. 

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Mayflower Society as a proud direct Mayflower descendent. Pat volunteered with the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Stardust Ball, Lincoln College Grand Soiree, and Boy Scout Troop #102 for many years. She also enjoyed buying and selling antiques and genealogy research.  

James A. was a member of Lincoln Elks Lodge #914, American Legion Post #263, Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210, and the Ansar Shrine and Logan County Shrine Clubs. Following his 1949 graduation from Middletown High School, Jim attended Lincoln College and Millikin University. He then served in the United States Army as an MP and clerk in Korea during the Korean Conflict. In 1954, he became involved in automotive business. On April 1, 1961, he purchased the Pontiac-Cadillac dealership and became the youngest Pontiac-Cadillac Dealer in the United States at 29-years old. A 4th-generation Logan County merchant, he operated Glenn Pontiac-Cadillac from 1961 to 1997. He then operated a used car lot under a historical family business name, "J. Glenn & Co." 

Jim enjoyed working outside in the country at his home. He was a golfer and late in life enjoyed taking road trips based on recommendations from farm magazines. He also enjoyed attending football and basketball games at the University of Illinois, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Glen Alan Johnson, 59, of Clinton, IL passed away at 3:25 PM, November 10, 2021 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

Visitation will be 1-3 PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL.  A time to celebrate Glen’s life will follow from 4 – 6 PM, Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Bloomington, IL.  Graveside services will be 11 AM, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pontiac IL.  For services, feel free to leave the suits at home.  Dress comfy and throw on your favorite pair of chucks if you have them!   Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Glen was born August 1, 1962 in Pontiac, IL the son of William Robert and Geraldine (Zell) Johnson.  He married Dorraine Ellen Carter on May 10, 2017 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Dorraine Johnson, Clinton, IL; children:  Glen R. (Sarah) Johnson, Bloomington, IL; Janis (James) Johnson, Clinton, IL; Stefanie (Ryan) Snow, Bloomington, IL; Casey (Mike) Hartman, Lincoln, IL; Lee Holub, Bloomington, IL; and Karly Johnson, Bloomington, IL; 15 grandchildren; and siblings:  Bill Johnson; Mary (Steve) Barnhill, Heyworth, IL; and John Edward Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Robert Johnson.

Glen worked at Nestle Beich/Ferrero Chocolate Factory for 35 years. He enjoyed boating. Glen loved spending time with his family and lived for his grandchildren.  He was truly a one-of-a-kind man with a heart of gold that radiated love.  Glen was a genuine, honest, and kind man..  He was the world’s best Dad and Pop Pop; there will never be enough words!  He will be forever missed and never forgotten.

 Mary Sharon Ryan (Sharon), 81, of Bloomington, IL, formerly of Wapella, IL, passed away on November 4, 2021 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.

Mary Sharon Bray was born on June 7, 1940 at her childhood home in Wapella, IL to Merle and Wanda (Camp) Bray. On November 12, 1960 Sharon married Raymond “Buddy” Ryan at St. Patrick Church, Wapella. The couple lived, farmed, and raised their five children in rural Wapella.

At Wapella High School, Sharon was awarded the Betty Crocker Award as well as Salutatorian of the class of 1958. Sharon graduated from Illinois State University and taught kindergarten at St. Clare School for 12 years. In addition to teaching at St. Clare, Sharon dedicated her free time to educating and nurturing young people in the Catholic faith by teaching religious education at St. Patrick’s Wapella. Sharon was also an active member of St. Patrick Altar and Rosary Society, DeWitt County Home Extension, McLean County Republican Party and a volunteer for numerous other causes including the IL Cancer Center, Birthright, and RSVP. 

Sharon was an avid gardener (with two green thumbs!), bird lover, and released hundreds of monarch butterflies over the years. Sharon loved to sit and visit with friends and family in her amazing flower garden and admire the beauty of nature. Sharon was an avid reader, a love that she passed on to her children. She enjoyed participating in book clubs and Bible studies over the years.

Sharon is survived by her children and their families: Tim (Judy), Birmingham, AL; Todd

(Heather), Mequon, WI; Teresa (Mark) Curi, Long Beach, IN; Tracey (Doug) Wiering, Cedar Falls, IA; and Tara (Doug) Gray, Batavia, IL. She will be missed greatly by her grandchildren Meredith (Spencer White) Ryan, Hannah (Scott) Carver, Allison Ryan; Ryan (Katie) Curi, Casey (Nicole Schuh) Curi, Megan Curi; Riordan Ryan and Maeve Ryan; Henry Wiering and Charles Wiering; Thomas Gray and Andrew Gray. Sharon was also a great-grandmother to Cort and Hughes Carver and Charlotte Curi. Other survivors include her brother Corwin (Ruth) Bray of Greenville, SC; in-laws Tom (Rosemary) Ryan of Orland Park, IL and Mary Ann Ryan of Birmingham, AL. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Buddy” Ryan and her loving parents Merle and Wanda Bray.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St.Patrick Catholic Church, Wapella, IL with Fr. Rogers Byambaasa and Deacon Todd Weber.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 (Sharon and Buddy’s 61st wedding anniversary) at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rosary at 3:30 pm. Memorials may be made to Birthright of Bloomington, Write Stuff for Kids (Clinton, IL), or St.. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Her family would like to thank the staff of the third floor Family Care Center at OSF St. Joseph Hospital for their care and kindness.

Sharon will be greatly missed by her family, friends, pups (Teddy and Chloe) and countless others who knew her from teaching, church, and volunteering. She was a loving person who was loved by many. May a perpetual light shine upon her.

Phyllis J. McMath of Clinton, IL passed away November 1, 2021 at Reflections, Morton, IL.

Phyllis was born July 16, 1920 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Fredrick William and Laura (Yunker) Wunsch. She married Robert E. McMath February 14, 1954 in Peoria, IL.

Survivors include her children, Karen (Dr. William) Johnson, Morton, IL, Kevin (Barbara) McMath, Clinton, IL, Kraig (Annette) McMath, Clinton, IL; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Eric) Moon, Laura (Jason) Osborn, Kade McMath, Kolton McMath, Kaci (Joshua) Carr, Kelbey (Staci) McMath, Alek McMath and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.  He passed away February15, 2018.

Phyllis' years of teaching were dear to her.  After graduating from Manuel High School, she attended Pestalozzi Froebel Teachers College in Chicago.  She taught kindergarten for 11 years at Blaine Sumner in Peoria and one year in Waynesville, IL.

Phyllis was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, the DeWitt Co. Farm Bureau, DeWitt Co. Home Extension, Lincoln Doll Club and supporter of the DeWitt Co. Museum through her donations and volunteer work.

Phyllis was an avid collector of dolls and antiques.  She spent many enjoyable hours attending sales and auctions to add to her collection. 

Phyllis also enjoyed regaling her children and grandchildren with stories of her childhood growing up on Hayes St. on Peoria's south side.

Private services will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Jeff Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow at New Union Cemetery, Lincoln, IL. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Nancy Staton, 81, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at 6:33 PM Monday November 8, 2021.  She was at home surrounded by her family. 

Born February 21, 1940, Rome, N.Y. to the late Harold J. Schindler and Altay E. (Knight) Schindler.  Nancy and her family moved to Clinton, IL in 1950.  She was a graduate of Clinton High School where she met her husband John T. Staton when they were 15 and 16 years old.  Nancy and John enjoyed 61 loving years of marriage. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and dear friend to many.

She is survived by her husband John, her three children, John T. (Lisa) Staton Jr. of Lake Forest, IL, Cynthia J. (David) Erickson of Arlington Heights, IL, and Debra L. (John) Oswald of Middleton, WI.  Nancy treasured her 8 Grandchildren, Stephanie Staton, Sarah Erickson, Jessica Staton, Matthew Oswald, Caroline Erickson, Mitchell Oswald, Thomas Erickson and Grace Erickson.  She is also survived by two brothers Harold J. Schindler Jr. of Rochester, NY and Robert S. Schindler of Ferndale, Washington.  She was preceded in death by brothers, David K. Schindler, John W. Schindler and Richard A. Schindler. 

Nancy was a realtor for 25 years in the Bloomington/Normal community and served as President of the Illinois State Realtors Association Board of Ethics. She was a longtime member of Eastview Christian Church in Normal, a member since 1964.  Nancy remained an active member through the growth of Eastview, specifically as the Director of the Nursery for many years, serving members through the gift of handmade baby blankets for newborns and serving meals to families in need, including funeral dinners at Eastview. 

There will be a funeral service for Nancy at 10 AM Friday November 12, 2021, at Eastview Christian Church in Normal.  Pastor Gary York will officiate.   Interment will take place following a luncheon after the service at Mausoleum Park Cemetery in Clinton.  There will be a visitation from 4-6 PM Thursday November 11, 2021, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Bloomington.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Eastview Christian Church or to the University of Wisconsin Foundation Carbone Cancer Center Pancreas Center Research Fund.

 Dennis Crews Wade, 79 of Decatur, IL passed away 5:10 PM November 5, 2021 at Fair Havens Senior Living Center, Decatur, IL.

Graveside services will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney, IL at a later date. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with services.

Dennis was born June 2, 1942 in East Chicago, IN the son of Gerald and Naomi (Crews) Wade. He married Hellen Ann Martin July 1, 1967 in Clinton, IL. She passed away October 10, 1999.

Survivors include his children, Dennis Craig (Rennie) Wade, Shreveport, LA and Jeffery Allen (Michelle) Wade, Piper City, IL; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Sally Kibler, Robinson, IL; longtime companion, Cathy Marshall, Decatur, IL and her daughter, Christie (Rich) Weemer, and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dennis had worked for the Plumber and Steam Fitters Union Local #157, Terra Haute, IN. He was a 32nd degree Mason and an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.

Judy Lynn Sturgeon went to her Heavenly Home on November 4, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer.  She was 57.

Services will be 1 PM, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Mark Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 12 – 1 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Judy was born January 29, 1964 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Charles and Sandra (Foster) Taylor. She married Rick Sturgeon on June 20, 1987 in Clinton, IL.

Judy is survived by her mother, Sandra Taylor; her husband, Rick; her son, Jordan (Amy) Sturgeon; her grandson, Caleb Sturgeon; her brother, Jeff (Ann) Taylor; her sister, Jackee (Billy) Burton; her nephews, Josh Burton and Cody Burton; and her niece, Kaitlin Burton.

She is meeting up with her father, Charles Taylor, in Heaven.

Judy worked at State Farm for 39 years. She was a proud member of the class of 1982.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, and Christian.

Judy loved the holidays, crafts, shopping, decorating, her cat, and spending time with her grandson. She was much loved and will be dearly missed.

Rachelle M. Nevius, 57, of McLean, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the McLean Christian Church. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Tony Billingsley officiating.

Rachelle Maria Vallette was born October 12, 1964, in Rapid City, South Dakota, the daughter of Hugh M. and Marianne "Annie" Kroh Vallette III. She was united in marriage to Robby J. Nevius on September 20, 1997.

Rachelle is survived by her husband, Rob; their children: Brittani (Korey) Carpenter and Erica Nevius; two grandchildren: Rayne and Ricky; and one brother: Hugh (Cindy) Vallette IV.

She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed reading, spending time with friends and family, and taking care of everyone. She worked at Auto Warehousing Company for 18 years, and more recently as a home healthcare aide.

Memorials may be made to Rachelle Nevius Memorial Fund at the Atlanta National Bank or the Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Fire Department.
