Robert 'Bob' McKinley, Jr.

Robert “Bob” McKinley Jr., 92, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at 3:12 A.M., Monday, February 12, 2018, at his residence.
 
His graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, Illinois with Pastor Steve Anderson and Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, Farmer City, Illinois. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois, in charge of arrangements.
 
Bob was born December 30, 1925, in Rutledge Township, DeWitt County, Illinois, a son of Robert and Ruby Winsor McKinley Sr. He married Marianne LaMont on November 23, 1946, in Bloomington, Illinois. She passed away on June 19, 2004. He later married Fern Heck on July 31, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
He is survived by his wife, Fern McKinley of Farmer City, Illinois, and nephew, Stephen Lynn McKinley of Tempe Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne McKinley, parents, and brother, Richard McKinley.
 
Bob was an owner and operator of the Diamond Horseshoe Tavern in Farmer City, Illinois, for twenty-three years. He also worked as a truck driver, worked at Webb’s clothing store in Farmer City, Illinois, for nine years and was a custodian at the Clinton Power Station. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City, Illinois, and a member of the Fred G. O’Malley V.F.W. Post 6190, Farmer City, Illinois.
