Kathryn Ann Wright 70 of Springfield, Il. passed away 8:20 PM April 23, 2021 at her family residence, Weldon, IL.

 

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date at the Roanoke Southern Baptist Church. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL assisted the family with cremation rites.

 

Kathryn was born July 14, 1950 in Pana, IL the daughter of William Ottis and Anna Lou (Rapp) Franklin.

 

Survivors include her children, Christy Davis, Weldon, IL and Susan (Russ) Haggard, Sherman, IL; 7 grandchildren, William (Fiancée, Kenzie) Davis, Heather Davis, Amber (Nate) Vaughn, Ryan (Mary Jo) Wright, Barron Haggard, McKenzie Haggard, and Madison Haggard; 10 great grandchildren, Corbin, Allysa, Abigale, Kaelub, Arian, Lily, Spencer, Todd, Hunter, and Liam; siblings, Steve (Sandy) Franklin, Jim Franklin, Arvil Franklin, Bill Franklin, Larry (Margaret) Franklin, Penny Burrell, Evalin (Bill) Woollen, and Missy Franklin.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, William David Wright, brothers, Bobby and Eddy Franklin.

 

Kathryn was a member of the Roanoke Southern Baptist Church. She had been a waitress, cook, and CNA. Most recently she was a foster grandparent with One Hope United at Fairview School in Springfield, IL for 8 years. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed making jewelry and balloon animals for children. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.

Richard Mac Pinney

 Richard Mac Pinney 63 of Maroa, Illinois passed away 9:55 A.M., April 20, 2021 at his family residence, Maroa, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 11 AM Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL with Rev. Mary Alice Cunningham officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Richard Mac Pinney Memorial Fund.

 

Richard was born August 3, 1957 in Decatur, IL the son of Richard M. and Sarah (McCay) Pinney.  He married Linda Brandt.

 

Survivors include his children, Brandon Pinney and Christine both of IA; and brother, James Mark Pinney, Maroa, IL.

 

Richard worked at Scretins Motorcycle in Decatur, IL. He started as a mechanic at Aggregate in Decatur, IL and later became the manager at Aggregate in Ankeny, IA.  Richard was a longtime bartender and loved the St. Louis Cardinals and racing.

Bobbie L. Long

 Bobbie L. Long, 85 of Clinton, IL passed away 8:07 PM April 21, 2021 at his family home in Clinton, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Bobbie was born November 20, 1935 in Estancia, New Mexico the son of Harry and Eliza (Dial) Long. He married Joyce C. Foster on June 29, 1953 in Ottumwa, IA.

 

Survivors include his wife, Joyce C. Long, Clinton, IL; son, Dale Lee (Penny) Long, Clinton, IL; and grandson, Tyler (Lynne) Long, Clinton, IL. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

 

Bobbie worked for The Illinois Central Railroad as a Carman for almost 30 years.

Connie Hantla

Connie D. Hantla 84 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 3:53 PM May 1, 2020 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal, IL not related to COVID-19.

 

Graveside services will be 10 AM, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

 

Connie was born September 20, 1935 in Bloomington, Il. the daughter of Walter and Lena (Mott) Sprague. She married Robert E. Hantla April 6, 1962 in Petersburg, Il. He passed away December 11, 1993.

 

Survivors include her children, Barbara Wright, The Colony, Texas; and Mark Hantla, Beason, IL; sister, Katie (Jerry) Whitehead, Clinton, IL; 2 grandchildren:  Ashlyn Wright, The Colony TX; and Mason Wright, Lewisville, TX; 1 great-grandchild, Eden Wright, Lewisville, TX.

 

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Raymond Sprague - infant son to Lena and Walter.

 

Connie was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL where she served for many years in the food bank.  She had worked at Clinton Junior High and the Dr. John Warner Hospital in the dietary department for many years.

 

Connie helped so many friends and family as she was a caregiver at heart.  Her laughter, her great sense of humor, and infectious smile will be greatly missed.  She was well taken care of by her son, Mark, sweet friend, Laurie Burk, and niece, Stacy Meyer.

Bob Wieneke

Bob Dean Wieneke 85 of Clinton, IL went peacefully to his heavenly reward surrounded by his loving family April 15, 2021.

 

Bob was born August 19, 1935 in Bethalto, IL to John "Jack" C Wieneke and Louetta "Tart" (Neumann) Wieneke.  He was joined in Holy Matrimony with Thelma "Susie" Todd on August 16, 1958 in Bloomington, IL.  After 46 years of marriage she proceeded him in death April 25, 2004.

 

Bob graduated from Alton High School with the class of 1954.  He was a 1958 graduate of the Illinois State Normal School.  For 36 years Bob taught students in the Mansfield, IL and Harlem (Loves Park, IL) school districts.  He dearly loved his chosen profession and considered himself a teacher to the end.  In his retirement years he enjoyed traveling the world, spending afternoons fishing with his son-in-law and grandchildren, spending time with his family and returning to the family farm that was his pride and joy.

 

Bob leaves his daughter Kathleen (David) Wismer, Clinton, IL, grandchildren, Christopher Phillips, Chicago, IL, Michael Phillips, Clinton, IL and Kara Wismer, Clinton, IL, his sister Geraldine "Jerry" Jarvis, sister-in-law Betty Wieneke, dear friend Paul Trummel as well as several beloved nieces and nephews to cherish the lifetime of memories and lessons he imparted.

 

Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, Father-in-Law Ira "Pete" Todd, Mother-in-Law Mae Todd, sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Brill, Brother-in-law William "BIll" Jarvis, brother Bill Wieneke.

 

Services will be held at Lane Christian Church, 4794 Lane St., Lane, IL  61750 on May 15, 2021.  Visitation will be held 10 am-11 am with services following.  Bob's remains will be scattered at the family farm following the service at 2 pm. 

 

Bob was a member of Lane Christian Church.  Memorials may be directed to the Lane Christian Church youth program.

 

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the devoted, loving hospice nurses who saw Dad through his final days.  Special thanks to Sue and Kyana.

Bonnie Fay Moran

 Bonnie Fay (Adams) Moran, age 69 of Clinton IL, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by family on April 10, 2021.

 

Bonnie was born at Alton Memorial Hospital on April 22, 1951. She was the daughter of William Freeman and Ruby (Carter) Adams. Bonnie went on to be a 1970 graduate of Bunker Hill High School and later moved to Clinton, IL. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family at St. Joe State Park “Flat River” where they camped, went four-wheeling and more. She also dedicated many years to working at John Warner Hospital. Ultimately, family and faith were two of Bonnie’s favorite things. She enjoyed being able to watch her grandchildren grow up and always expressed to them how proud they made her.

 

Bonnie is survived by her children, Tina Russell, Frankie Russell, Sheila Russell and Michelle Lambert. As well as her siblings, Dasda Baremore, Billy Adams, Carl Adams, Calvin Adams and Terry Adams. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Aundraya Rodas, Rebecca Russell, Isaiah Nichols, Kevin Rodas, Jasmin Lambert, Hannah Lambert, Sarah Russell and Faith Lambert.

 

Something many may not know about Bonnie is that she had twins. The family is comforted knowing that Bonnie and Theresa Russell are reunited once again. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Joann Adams, Mike Adams, Jay Adams, Timmy Adams and Les Adams.

Bonnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend and follower of Christ. Something she always expressed to her children and grandchildren is that there are always angels protecting them. Keeping her favorite song, “One Day at a Time” in mind, the family now has an angel they know protecting over them every day.

 

The family would like to express great thanks to Pastor Scott Marsh of Texas Christian Church in Clinton as well as everyone who has given kind words, cards, prayers and much more over the past five months. Ryan Yoder

 Ryan D. Yoder, 43 of Heyworth, IL passed away 2:20 PM April 7, 2021 at his residence.

 

Private services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at East Twin Grove Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Public visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Monday, April 12, 2021 at the funeral home. The family requests casual attire.

Ryan was born February 2, 1978 in Urbana, IL the son Rick and Tina M. (Atkins) Yoder. He married Theresa A. Marr, March 21, 2016 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his mother Tina M. (Chuck) Evans, Bloomington, IL; wife, Theresa A. Yoder, Heyworth, IL; children, Brittany Nicole Collins, Heyworth, IL and Cory Michael Collins, St. Petersburg, FL; siblings, Holly (Tom) Hanak, St. Louis, MO and Leeanne (Randy) Nesby, Heyworth, IL. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and employees, all of whom will miss him dearly.

 

He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Howard and Beverly Atkins; paternal grandparents, Dean and Phylis Yoder; and uncle; Chad Yoder, Cambridge, IL.

 

Ryan was the owner/operator of Yoder Lawn Care and Yoder Farms. Farming was his hobby, but he also enjoyed hunting and auctions.

Ralph D. Morrow

Ralph D. Morrow, 64, of Atlanta, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

 

A Celebration of Ralph's life will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at the 217 Roadhouse in Atlanta. 

 

Cremation Rites have been accorded. 

 

Ralph Dean Morrow was born on September 12, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Richard Dean and Yvonne Henry Morrow. 

 

He is survived by two his sons: Josh (Cathy) Morrow and Nick (Michelle) Morrow; his companion of several years: Lisa Baker; four grandchildren: Emma, Mack, and Otto Morrow; and Addy Deterding; one brother: Tim (Jill) Morrow; and two sisters: Martina Morrow and Nancy (Daryl) Johnson.  

  

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

 

Ralph graduated from the Pawnee Community High School in 1974. He retired from Holland Trucking in Atlanta in 2019 and was employed at Wade Farms in McLean. 

    

His hobbies included golfing, watching Cardinal Baseball, and the San Francisco 49ers.  

 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Gary D. Bristow

Gary D. Bristow, 73, of Bloomington, formerly of Waynesville, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Carle BroMenn Hospital in Normal. 


His funeral service will be held April 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Funks Grove Church in rural McLean, with visitation one hour before the service. 


Gary Duane Bristow was born March 2, 1948, in Bloomington, son of Ansel and Biddy Sue Rich Bristow. He graduated from McLean-Waynesville High School in McLean and attended Illinois State University. 


Gary married Linda Stubblefield Marvel on December 20, 1974, in McLean. 


He is survived by his wife; children, Jason Marvel and Elizabeth (Corey Wright) Bristow; grandchildren Jack Marvel, Ella Marvel, and John Marvel; one brother, Ron (Linda) Bristow; one sister, Patty (Phil) Miller; and special niece, Tabby Miller. 


He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his special aunt and uncle, Colene and Gene Fisher. 


He served in the Illinois National Guard and was a member of the Burger-Benedict American Legion Post #573 in McLean. Gary retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Decatur in 2004, but he was first and foremost a farmer, starting as a child with his father. 


He was strong for so long. 


Memorials may be made to Mt. Hope-Funks Grove Fire Department, Sugar Grove Nature Center, or Burger-Benedict American Legion Post #573.

Ava Mattson

Ava Marie Mattson, 11 months, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at her home, in peace, surrounded by her closest loved ones. 

 

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Heyworth Christian Church. Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be at Funks Grove Cemetery in rural McLean. 

Ava Marie Mattson was born April 16, 2020, in Normal, the daughter of Michael D. and Kamryn Marie Van Hook Mattson.  

 

She is survived by her parents; one brother, Knox M. Mattson; maternal grandparents: Shawna Reich and Bryan Van Hook; paternal grandparents: David Mattson and Kimberley Mattson; great-grandparents: Alberta Van Hook, Jack Van Hook, Judy and David Burton; Linda and Richard Cory; and David and Kay Mattson. 

 

Memorials may be made to her family.

Jasper Swafford

Jasper Allen Dean Swafford, 21 months, passed away at 9:29 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

 

A Celebration of Jasper’s Life will be 2 PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Heartland Community Church, 3253 Brush College Rd., Decatur, IL  62521 with Pastor Andy Troyer officiating.  Visitation will be 11 AM – 2 PM, Friday at the church.  Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Jasper was born June 6, 2019 in Decatur, IL the son of Tommy A. and Tricia K. (Poppenhouse) Swafford, Jr.

Jasper loved “Toy Story”, to draw, and play peek-a-boo.  He especially loved his sisters, mommy and daddy.
