James L. Welch, 53, of Farmer City, Illinois, passed away at 8:10 P.M., Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home in Farmer City, Illinois.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 16, 2017 at the Kelso M. Garver American Legion Post 650, Mansfield, Illinois. Inurnment will be in Bellflower Township Cemetery, Bellflower, Illinois at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Pavilion, Champaign, Illinois.
Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Welch was born March 8, 1964 in Urbana, Illinois to G. Larry and Karen Kammeyer Welch.
Survivors include his parents of Mansfield; sons, Dylan James Welch of Mansfield and Devin Scott Welch of Farmer City; grandson, Gavyn James Welch; brother, Craig (Seleena) Welch of Farmer City; sister, Angela (Chris) Mitchell of Mansfield; aunt, Joyce Kelly of Long Beach, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Christine M. Stewart, 65, formerly of Kenney, IL, died on July 3, 2017, following a long illness. She was the youngest child of Robert Roy Hunter, Jr., and Eleanor P. (Dorr) Hunter. Christine was born in 1951 in Framingham, Mass, and spent her childhood and young adulthood in nearby Westborough, Mass. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Gary H. Stewart, of Gardner, Mass., and by numerous nieces and nephews. She had been a dispatcher for an industrial gas company and later worked in retail. She was an avid seamstress and became quite adept at scrapbooking. She belonged to the First Baptist Church of Westborough and worshiped at other congregations after she left her home town. She will be interred in the family plot in Westborough.
