Lynn Lamont, 89, of Clinton, IL passed away 8:55 AM July 15, 2017 at his family residence, Clinton, Il.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Phil Yakey officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy, IL at 2 PM with Military Honors. Visitation will be 9 – 11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Wapella Christian Church or Little Galilee Christian Camp.

 

Lynn was born September 30, 1927 in Solomon, IL the son of George and Hyla (Defenbaugh) Lamont. He married Margaret F. Lindelof on August 28, 1953 in Bloomington, IL.  She passed away February 14, 1991. He later married Marjorie Ann (Leggett) Borland August 14, 1993 in Wapella, IL. 

 

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ann Lamont, Clinton, Il.; Children, Peggy Watkins, Bloomington, Il.; David (Lita) Lamont, Wills Point, TX.; Danny Gene (Brenda) Borland, Wapella, Il.; Jodie D. West, Normandy, TN.; Grandchildren, Louis (Mary) Watkins, Ben (Jennifer) Watkins, Zach Watkins, Maggie (Joseph) Poindexter, Brandy Montgomery, Crystal Lamont and Chelsea (Cody) Lamont-Hall; Faith Borland, Rachel Borland, Luke Borland, Kellie Borland, Katelyn Lockard; 11 Great-Grandchildren;

Brother, Lyell Lamont, Spring Green, Wisconsin; Sister, Lois (Wally) Beeler, Peoria, Il.

 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 infant son, Richard Lynn and 1 Sister, Lola Kaufman.

 

Lynn was a member of the Wapella Christian Church.  He farmed most of his life in McLean and DeWitt Counties. He was an Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean conflict and was awarded the Bronze Star. Lynn was a special Christian man. He loved his family, the church, and farming. Heaven has received a special Angel.
