Wesley W. Cusey 60 of Wapella, Il. passed away 2:35 PM July 4, 2017 at his family residence, Wapella, IL.

 

Services will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Calvert Funeral Home,Clinton, IL with Rev. Richard Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Long Point Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 9 - 10 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family is requesting casual attire.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Wapella Fire and Rescue.

 

Wesley was born January 23, 1957 in Bloomington, IL the son of Exley E. and Nellie Jean (Leggett) Cusey.

 

Survivors include his brothers: Curtis Cusey, Lothian, MD, Eldon (Michelle) Cusey, Wapella, IL; nephew: Vincent Cusey, Wapella, IL.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister: Amy Cusey.

 

Wesley was an avid outdoorsman with a beautiful vegetable and flower garden.. He enjoyed long walks, hiking, camping and small game hunting of squirrels, rabbits, raccoons and opossum. Along with working part time at a bookstore in Bloomington, he was a welder of big or small jobs. Also,

Wesley attended the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Heyworth.

 

Wesley spent much of his time and energy as a caregiver to his mom until she passed away at the age of 82.
