Berlin L. Sargent 73 of Clinton, IL passed away 6:50 PM July 11, 2017 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 A.M. Friday, July 14, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with celebrant Rev. Fr. James Henning. Visitation will be 10 - 11 A.M. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL at a later date. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to DOVE.

 

Berlin was born November 17, 1943 in Peoria, IL the daughter of Pearl (Coffland) Ward. She married William D. Sargent December 9, 1961 in Lacon, IL.

 

Survivors include her husband: William D. Sargent, Clinton, IL; children: Duane (Olga) Sargent, Bloomington, IL, Robert Sargent, St. Louis, MO, Shawn (Heather) Sargent, Creve Coeur, IL and Betty Grebe, Mesa, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with one on the way; sister Rosalyn Varney, Winter Haven, FL.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother and 1 brother: Robert Ward.

 

Berlin was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and was active member with the Alter & Rosary Society as well as a secretary at the church for many years. She was an avid crafter and camper. She was a very giving person no matter what the need.
