Agnes Marie Franklin, 91, of LeRoy, Illinois, passed away at 12:20 A.M., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 surrounded by family at home. 

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Mary's Church, Bloomington, Illinois.  A memorial service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Greg Nelson officiating.  Inurnment will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 17, 2017 in Oak Grove Cemetery, LeRoy, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church, Bloomington, Illinois or Ruel Neal American Legion Unit 79 Auxiliary, LeRoy, Illinois.  Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.

 

 Agnes was born June 18, 1926 to Charles and Ida Mae Kridner Roberts in El Paso, Illinois.  She married Walter E. Franklin in 1946.  He preceded her in death May 1, 1997.  

 

 She is survived by her daughter, Mary Booker of Sterling, Illinois; sons, Charles (Sandra) Franklin of LeRoy, Illinois and Richard (Pamela) Franklin of Mt. Vernon, Washington; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

 

 She was preceded in death by her four brothers and one sister.

 

 Agnes was a member of St. Mary's Church, Bloomington, Illinois.  She was an employee at State Farm Insurance for over 20 years, retiring in 1990.  She lived a very active life enjoying travel; quilting; crafting; puzzles; reading; and most of all spending time with her family and family pets.
