Charles Daniel “Dan” Dolbert, 82, of Farmer City, IL, passed away, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 19, 2025, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., Farmer City, IL, with Kyle Kopp officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Farmer City Fire Protection District or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dan was born on February 9, 1943, in Bloomington, IL, a son of Richard A. and Clydel M. (Vance) Dolbert. He married JoNell McCartney on January 19, 1979, in Mansfield, IL.

He is survived by his wife, JoNell Dolbert of Farmer City, IL; children, Amy (Terrell) Jones of Farmer City, IL; Charles Daniel “Dan” Dolbert II of Farmer City, IL; and Chad (Amy) Dolbert of Galena, IL; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; and siblings, Tom (Susan) Dolbert of Sun Lakes, AZ; Bonnie Gibson of Farmer City, IL; and Cathy (Mike) Doss of Mapleton, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard A. and Clydel M. Dolbert and brother, Phillip Dolbert.

Dan was a car salesman. The last 22 years, he was sales manager for Baum Chevrolet Buick in Clinton, Illinois.

He will be greatly missed by many.
