Terry A. Yates, 83, of Decatur, IL passed away 7:30 A.M. December 21, 2025 at The Arc at Hickory Point, Forsyth, IL.

Services will be 10 AM Monday, December 29, 2025 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Mark Gearig officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 2 – 4 PM Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the funeral home.

Memorial may be directed to the American Heart Association. 

Terry was born May 1, 1942 in Clinton, IL the daughter of John Robinson and Laura Talitha (Riney) Hunsley. 

Survivors include her daughter, Traci Yates, Decatur, IL; grandson, Timothy D. (Meghan) Staebler, Naperville, IL, great granddaughters, Nora Colleen Staebler and Maeve Danielle Staebler both of Naperville, IL, sister, Lou Ellen Mollet, Clinton, IL, brother, Robert (Carol) Hunsley, Frankfort, IL, along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Roy and John Hunsley.

Terry had worked for Lehn-Fink in Lincoln from 1973 until 1996, then went to ADM from 1996 until 2012. She was a long-time member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Decatur and volunteered at the church.
