Forrest Wilford “Willie” Fentress, 91, of Farmer City, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, IL. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Emily Little officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Farmer City, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the De Witt County 4-H Fair Association, Clinton, IL.
Willie was born on July 17, 1934, in Mook, KY, a son of William Henry and Mary Lee (Butler) Fentress. He married Judy Dawson on May 15, 1956.
He is survived by his two daughters, Roxanne Fentress and Sherry Cope; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Fentress and Brittney (Tyler) Stoutenborough; four great-grandchildren, Cole and Riley Fentress and C.J. and Josie Stoutenborough; brother, Greg (Terrie) Fentress; and sisters, Diana Heath and Lyda Mae Hockman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Joe and Garland Fentress.
Willie was a truck driver for around 67 years. He started Fentress Trucking in 1965 and retired at age 87. Willie was a hard worker. When not driving a semi, he enjoyed riding horses, raising cattle and playing cards. Most of all, Willie loved his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
