Dale E. Barr, 80, of Lane, IL passed away 12:00 P.M. July 31, 2026 at Goldwater Care, Clinton, IL

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be 2:30 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Baptist Cemetery, Kenney, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating.  Visitation will be 1 – 2 PM, Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL.

Memorials may be directed to the Dale E. Barr Memorial Fund.

Dale was born September 9, 1945 in Paxton, IL the son of Jesse Allen and Veda Loleda (Ensley) Barr. He married Beverly Ann Cobb May 16, 1967 in Seymour, IL. She passed away August 8, 2011.

Survivors include his children, Gerald E. (Jona Mica) Barr, Pensacola, FL; Lisa L. Barr, Clinton, IL; Amy L. Sturgeon, Clinton, IL; James D. Barr, North Carolina; and Joseph D. Barr, Lincoln, IL, 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one brother, Roy Barr, Tuscola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jamie J. Barr; one brother, Eldon Barr, and one sister, Lola Barr.

Dale was truck driver and had worked at Caterpillar. He was an avid car enthusiast that could often be found at drag races.
