Elsie Mae Staton, 83, of Heyworth, Illinois passed away 4:03 A.M. July 13, 2026 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington, IL.

Graveside Services will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2026 at McClimans Cemetery, Hallsville, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. There will be no visitation. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il. with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Elsie was born February 18, 1943 in Midland City, IL the daughter of William and Evelyn (Dyer) Staton.

Survivors include her siblings, Ruth (Art) Tool, Clinton, IL and Marvin Staton, Clinton, IL.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings:  Deral Staton, John Staton, Harriett Roethe, Margaret Moncrief, James Staton, Donald Staton, Robert Staton, Judith Staton at birth and Nancy Staton at birth

Elsie worked at G. E. in Bloomington, IL for several years.  She enjoyed traveling with her friends to attend various concerts.
