Corla Ann Hagenbruch

Corla Ann Hagenbruch passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at Carle Hospital, Urbana, Illinois, leaving a lasting impression of strength, faith, selfless service and unwavering love.

Born on June 3, 1947, in Clinton, Illinois, Corla was the beloved daughter of Frank Charles and Corla Arcada “Tiny” Hagenbruch, who preceded her in death, along with her infant brothers, Thomas and Theodore. Corla was a graduate of Clinton High School and Illinois State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a longtime employee of the University of Illinois, working for a vice chancellor and the board of trustees offices. From an early age, she carried a spirit that was resilient and compassionate, deeply grounded in her faith and devoted to the people she loved and who loved her.  As a woman of faith, Corla held fast her faith in the resurrection, a promise she cherished deeply and spoke of often. Her faith provided her with the strength to face life’s challenges with confidence and peace about the future. She was an unwavering loyal friend, a trusted confidant and a fierce protector of those for whom she cared.  She made others feel important, supported and never alone, but most of all, deeply loved.

Corla is survived by her loving brothers: Louis Hagenbruch, Joseph Hagenbruch, Timothy (Rita Kay) Hagenbruch, and Steve (Colleen) Hagenbruch. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews, many close cousins, and a wide circle of lifelong, treasured friends. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in all their lives. She was a member of the faith of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A memorial service will be held Saturday 2:00 PM ,May 23, 2026 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2602 W Bloomington Rd, Champaign, IL.  Zoom attendance is available from 1:30 PM.

There will be a private burial for family and friends at a future date in Clinton Illinois.  Corla will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
