Mary Katherine "Kathy" Dahler

 Mary Katherine “Kathy” Dahler, 82, of Clinton, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on April 29, 2026.

 

Kathy was born on June 27, 1943 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Don and Hattie Wondrok.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family.

 

Kathy shared a loving marriage of 61 years with her husband, Clifford Ronald “Ron” Dahler.  Together they built a life centered on love, family, and the simple joys of being at home. Kathy especially enjoyed flowers, sitting outside, and spending treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and togetherness.

 

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Ron; her children, Melissa (Scott) Tool, Kristina (Michael) Sinn, Todd Dahler, and Jessica (Tyler) Shoemaker; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Matthew (Brooke) Tool and their children Emma and Lucas; Hollie (Elijah) Bobell and their children Charlee, Henry, and Harvey; Megan (Alec) Cooley and their child Reese; Cole (Hannah) Sinn; Amanda (Dalton) Sanders and their child Ella; Avery (Bowe) Carter and their child Cash; and Ethan Black.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Hattie Wondrok; her sisters, JoAnn and Donna; and her brother, Sonny. 

 

Kathy was a devoted Catholic, and her faith was a central part of her life, guiding her values and bringing her comfort and strength.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 3 PM Tuesday May 5, 2026 at Our Lady Of The Prairie Parish, St John The Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with Fr Thomas Szydlik Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 2 – 3 PM Tuesday at the church. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

 

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
