Kathy Jo Gentry, 67, of Clinton, IL passed away 1:08 AM April 27, 2026 at Goldwater Care, Clinton, Il.

Services will be at a later date at the First Baptist Church, Clinton, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Kathy was born August 6, 1958 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Gilbert “Mike” and Laura (Brewer) Thomas. She married Terry Gentry February 25, 1993 in Magnolia, AR.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Gentry, Clinton, IL, children, Angel ( David) Siebert, Clarksville, TN, Yolanda (Lloyd) Guffey, Clinton, IL, Brandon Gentry, Roanoke, VA, Nathan (Kristina) Gentry, Port Charlotte, FL, and Kristin (Fiancé Jake Merch) Gentry, Clinton, IL; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded by her parents and one brother, Robert “Bob” Thomas.

Kathy was a CNA for thirteen years because she truly loved taking care of people. Kathy also renovated buildings and did construction work.  She loved the Lord and spending time at church with her church family, but most of all she loved spending time with her friends and family.  She was a great lady and will be missed by all of her loved ones.
