Michael Ray Scott,64, of Cisco, IL passed away 7:56 PM, April 24, 2026 at his family residence.

Services will be 10 AM Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Croninger Cemetery, Cisco, IL. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Wednesday April 29, 2026 at the funeral home.

Michael was born October 17, 1962 in Mattoon, IL the son of Jack and Doris (Kerns) Scott. He married Deborah Ellen Niles February 20, 1982, in Decatur, IL. She passed away June 26, 2008.

Michael is survived by his sons, Daniel Ray (Fiancé Rachel Burns) Scott, Cero Gordo, IL; David Michael Scott, Cisco, Il, three Granddaughters, Jayda Rae Scott, Decatur, IL; Finnley Ellen Scott, Cisco, IL; and Shaylee Angela Scott, Cisco, IL. Siblings, Joe Scott, Argenta, IL; Jim (Cindy) Scott, Mattoon, IL; Susan (Anthony) Hoeppner, Clarksville, TN; and Jason (Casey) Scott, Rockwall, TX. Stepmother, Kathy Scott, Fate, TX.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael owned and operated Mike Scott Excavating for many years. He enjoyed fishing, and motorcross racing, but most of all spending time with his family.
