Lynda Rose Mitchell 51 of Clinton, IL passed away 3:48 A.M. February 25, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Services will be 11 AM Thursday March 5, 2026 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Cody Monkman officiating. Graveside Services will be 2:30 PM Thursday March 5, 2026 at Harvel Cemetery, Harvel, IL. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wednesday March 4, 2026 at the funeral home.

Lynda was born December 23, 1974 in Litchfield, IL the daughter of Ralph and Mary (Knetzer) Bockewitz. She married Harold Mitchell October 29, 2023 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Mitchell, Clinton, IL; stepchildren, Christopher Mitchell, Clinton, IL, Tyler (Autumn) Mitchell, Clinton, IL; mother-in-law, Lonna Fry, Lincoln, IL; one step granddaughter; Lily Mitchell; three nieces; Sarah (Mike) Featherstone Carlinville, IL, Jennifer (Matt) Mahnke, Pana, IL, Raina (Herb) Tarver Jackson, MI; two nephews Adam Bailey Taylorville, IL and Broc Lutrell of California; niece, Letesha (Mike) Diaz of California; siblings, Kimberly (Wes) Felty, Raymond, IL, Sue Bailey, Raymond, IL, and Karl Luttrell of California.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Riley, two nieces Amber and Brittany Elliott.

Lynda was a graduate from Elmhurst College; she also received a PHD from Jackson State University. She was the Vice President of Indirect lending at Land of Lincoln Credit Union, Springfield, IL. She really enjoyed animals and spending time with her pets.
