Gary L. Frantz 87 of Clinton, IL passed away 12:05 A.M. February 18, 2026 at Goldwater Care, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Jonathan Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Lisenby Cemetery, Lane, IL. Visitation will be10 AM-11 AM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the funeral home.

Gary was born July 6, 1938 in Blue Island, Illinois the son of Rodger and Olive (Pride) Frantz. He married Jannes (Terry) December 29, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi.

Survivors include his wife, Jannes Frantz, Clinton, IL; daughter, Cheryl (Lloyd) Francis, Clinton, IL; son, Larry Frantz; Four grandchildren Tiffany Shafer, St Louis, MO Lloyd Francis IV, Clinton, IL Roger (Tammy) Frantz Jr, MO Jamie (Floyd) Lovins, Orena, IL; And nine great-grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons Lindsey and Roger Frantz, and 2 brothers Al and Jim Frantz.

Gary worked at Eureka Williams and had worked as a security guard for Decatur Memorial Hospital and at the Clinton Power Plant. He later worked as a dispatcher for the 911 Communications Center, Clinton, IL.
