Gail J. Frank, 89 of Argenta, IL passed away 7:40 AM February 16, 2026 at The Loft of Rock Springs, Decatur, IL. 

No services are planned at this time. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Gail was born September 30, 1936 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of Harry and Dorothy (Mack) Ahrens. She married Paul Frank in 1956 in Mississippi. 

Survivors include her husband, Paul Frank, Argenta, IL; children, Brian C. (Barbara) Frank, Springfield, IL, Brenda K. Frank, Argenta, IL, Terry (Brenda) Frank, Forsyth, IL; grandchildren, Terry (Lindsay) Frank, Leslie Turasky, Tyler (Lindsey) Frank, Taylor (Abby) Frank; great grandchildren, Oliver Frank, Adeline Frank, Thomas Turasky; siblings, Lynn Pratt, Norfolk, VA, and Russell (Lois) Ahrens, Stewartsville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 

Gail was a switchboard operator for St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL retiring in 1998. After retirement, she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital and Decatur Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Prairie River Historical Society in Argenta, IL.
