Roger David Knoy 72 of Clinton, IL passed away 7:40 A.M. January 20, 2026 at the Warner Hospital & Health Services, Clinton, IL.
Services will be 11 AM Monday, January 26, 2026 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Scott Marsh officiating. Visitation will be 9 – 11 AM Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Roger David Knoy Memorial Fund c/o Sheri Knoy.
Roger was born October 12, 1953 in Lincoln, IL the son of Dallas Lee and Corlynn “Corky” (Baldwin) Knoy. He married Sheri Blake June 30, 1979 in Clinton, IL.
Survivors include his wife, Sheri Knoy, Clinton, IL, daughters, Amber (Travis) Howry, Clinton, IL and Amanda (John) Wrage, Kenney, IL, grandson, Briar Howry, Clinton, IL, siblings, Dan (Linda) Knoy, TN; Rhonda (Jay) Mattern, Chestnut, IL; and Sandy Schlosser, Clinton, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger retired as a manager from Power Supply in Decatur with over 20 years of service. He then drove buses for the Clinton School District and the Clinton YMCA. He was a man of God, attending the Texas Christian Church. Roger was a black powder gunsmith enthusiast, an avid reader and book junkie, and was musically talented enjoying playing the violin and cello. He loved riding his Harley and visiting with friends at the coffee corner. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Briar.
Roger’s family would like to extend a special “Thank you” to the DeWitt County EMS, Clinton Fire Department, Clinton Police, and the Warner Hospital Staff.
