Mark E. McGlasson, 76 of Clinton, IL passed away 12:05 PM January 5, 2026 at his home in Clinton, IL.

Private burial will be at a later date. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Memorials in Mark’s name may be directed to your local animal shelter. 

Mark was born August 10, 1949 in Carrollton, IL the son of Robert T. and Yvonne “Bonnie” (Melow) McGlasson. 

Survivors include his sons, Matthew (Sarah) McGlasson, Normal, IL, and Christian McGlasson, grandsons, Wyatt McGlasson and Jacob McGlasson, siblings, Melanie Sue Barnett, Carrollton, IL, Penelope “Penny” Brannan, Eldred, IL, and Robert A. McGlasson, Carrollton, IL. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bryan McGlasson, great niece, Cadance Ackles, sister-in-law, Gloria McGlasson, brothers-in-law, Charles Barnett and Greg Brannan. 

Mark served his country in the U.S. Army Combat Infantry Unit during the Vietnam Conflict from 1970 until 1972 receiving the Bronze Star for Bravery. He loved music, especially playing his guitar. Also he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
