Trevor Eugene Leach

Trevor Eugene Leach 79 of Maroa, IL passed away 2:21 P.M. November 18, 2025 at his family residence, Maroa, IL.

 

Services will be 11 A.M. Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL with military honors. Visitation will be 2 – 4 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2025 at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to Little Galilee Christian Camp.

 

Trevor was born May 4, 1946 in Springfield, IL the son of Leonard E. and  Mary Alice (Rybolt) Leach. He married Janice B. Tarr September 1, 1973 in Springfield, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Janice B. Leach, Maroa, IL; son, Cedric E. (Rosie) Leach, Cameron Park, CA; three granddaughters:  Josephine Leach, Juniper Leach, and Jemma Leach; sister, Loretta Faye (Jim) Parks, Florida; and many cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Trevor graduated from Maroa-Forsyth High School in 1965 and from Bailey Technical School, St. Louis, MO in 1966.  He then served in the US Air Force from 1966-1970.  Trevor served at Chanute AFB in Rantoul, IL before being assigned to Strategic Air Command Base, Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, along with Thailand, and Taiwan.  Trevor worked at General Electric, Decatur, IL.  He then worked for Capitol Machinery in Springfield, IL as an electrician and diesel mechanic. After working for Capitol Machinery, Trevor farmed for a short time and retired from the Oreana Post Office as a rural mail carrier.  Trevor was a past member of the Maroa Lions Club and the American Legion.  Trevor attended the Kenney Christian Church.
