Galen D.  Lichtenwalter, 95, of Clinton, IL passed away 10:58 AM, Friday, October 31, 2025 at Goldwater Care, Clinton, IL.

Graveside services will be at a later date at Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL with Pastor Darrell Howard officiating.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton United Methodist Church.

Galen was born December 26, 1929 in Cumberland County, IL, the son of Thurman and Bessie (Bloominger) Lichtenwalter. He married Patricia Ann Meyer on August 21,1948 in Henderson KY.

Survivors include his wife Pat Lichtenwalter, Clinton, IL; children, Gregory (Penny) Lichtenwalter, Clinton, IL, Chris (Cindy) Lichtenwalter, Conway, AR; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Lichtenwalter, Normal, IL; six brothers, and five sisters.

Galen was a conductor for the Illinois Central Railroad and retired after 411/2 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
