Shirley Catherine Fenton 68 of Weldon, Illinois passed away 7:38 A.M. October 15, 2025 in rural Fisher, IL.

Graveside Services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL with Rev. Gary L. Fairchild officiating. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Weldon United Methodist Church.

Shirley was born September 21, 1957 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Billy “Silo” and Donna (Willis) Stone. She married John L. Fenton Sr. June 12, 1976, in Weldon, IL.

Survivors include her husband, John L. Fenton Sr., Weldon, Il; Children, John (Christina) Fenton Jr., Clinton, IL, Jeremy Fenton, Decatur, IL, Joseph ( Devon) Fenton, Clinton, IL; seven grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Mary Harpster, Lake Charles, LA, Vonna Sue Gaines, Sidney, IL, Lois Ann Potter, Branchland, WV, Billy (Sabrina) Stone Jr., Clinton, IL

Shirley was preceded in death by her Parents, Grandson, Jacob Henry Fenton; and one sister Kathleen “Leenie” Frick.

Shirley worked in the postal service for thirty-seven years, in the last fifteen years she was the Postmaster in Fisher, IL. Shirly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
