David Lee Huston, 58 of Clinton, IL, passed on October 14th, 2025 at his family residence. He was born on December 13th, 1966, in Rockford, IL to the late Donald and Frances Huston of Rockton, Il. He later moved to Clinton where he meet his love of his life Darla Huston (Carter) who he married on February 16th, 1985. They had 2 awesome children, Brandi Lynn Huston (Brent Jacober) from Pocahontas, IL and the late Jeremy Huston.
David was more than a loving husband, and great Father but he was an AMAZING D’pa to his one and only granddaughter, Regan Chrispen. They were the best of friends! Not only was he those titles, he was also brother, uncle, friend and angler.
David was an avid fisherman, since he could hold a rod in his hand. Winning multiple tournaments. If you didn’t see him on the water, you would find David riding around on the golf cart with his granddaughter, at home watching the Cubs or Steelers game. David loved to party and celebrate life with family and friends and loved throwing his annual 4th of July parties or Sunday Fun Days. He loved to dance and was the best lip sync singer. You may know him from the Vermillion Bowl, Revere Ware, Mitsubishi, Douglas Dodge, to his most current owning his own successful business, DH Painting and More.
Like his son, David never knew a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone and had many friends.
David was preceded in death by his son Jeremy Huston, his parents Donald and Frances Huston, in laws Francis Wickenhauser and Thelma Carter, one sister Donna Striech.
He leaves behind his wife Darla, daughter Brandi, and his side kick Regan. One Brother Doug Huston (Torinna Pryce) of Rockton, IL along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He will be greatly missed by all!
