Charles Deward Bundy 87 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 11:36 A.M. October 2, 2025 at Goldwater Care, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Lane Christian Church, Lane, IL with Brock Eckert and Jim Kilson officiating. Burial will follow at Lisenby Cemetery, Lane, IL. Visitation with coffee and donuts will be 10-11 AM, Monday at the church.  The family requests casual attire. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Charles was born March 15, 1938 in Lane, Illinois the son of Thomas Oren and Coyla Juanita (Parker) Bundy. He married Shirley Ann Cole May 14, 1955 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Bundy, Clinton, IL; children, Kathy Powers, Clinton, IL; Michael (Sandy) Bundy, Clinton, IL; Steve Bundy, Clinton, IL; David (Corrine) Bundy, Lexington, KY; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; siblings, Nancy Casey, Mexico; Melanie Cheatham, Springfield, IL; brother-in-law, Lloyd Disney, Clinton, IL; sister-in-law, Connie Bundy, Clinton, IL.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristi Michelle Bundy; grandson, Benjamin; brothers, Keith Bundy, Thomas Bundy, Danny Bundy; and sisters, Marjorie Hines, Peggy Disney, and Audrey Massey.

Charles was baptized in Salt Creek at the age of 10.  Charles was a member of the Lane Christian Church where he served as an Elder and Deacon of the church.  He was the Post Master in LaSalle, IL and Champaign, IL and had worked for the United States Postal Service in Centralia, IL.  He retired from the United States Postal Service after 33 years of service.  He was a humble man who loved the Lord, his family and friends.
