With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jeffery Alan Dodd, 50, of Kenney, Illinois. He passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025 at OSF. Jeff was born in Lincoln, Illinois to Jimmy Dodd Sr. & Sharon Buggar.

 

Jeff was a “BIG” teddy bear! His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and kindness. His passing has left an extraordinary void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many others whose lives that were touched by him. We as a family ask that you remember Jeff by the impact that he left on your life.

 

Jeff is survived by his beloved pets-Oreo & Reese, loving parents Sharon & Melvin Buggar of Kenney, IL, brothers Jimmy Dodd Jr (Naomi) of Kansas, Matt (Theresa) Buggar, Justin (Jennika) Buggar and sisters Leanne-Dodd (Dave) Levesque & Sherry-Dodd Hudson. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews along with many other great friends and family.

 

Jeff was proceeded in death by his fiancé Tracy Mills, father Jimmy Dodd Sr., grandma & grandpa Clary, grandma & grandpa Dodd, grandma & grandpa Buggar, and nephew Dakota Owen.

 

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday September 13, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 at Old Settlers in Kenney, Illinois. Please come and join us to Celebrate Jeff. Dress comfortable- casual.
