Doris L. Cohenour, 99 of Wapella, IL, passed away 1:50 AM September 10, 2025 at Haven of Farmer City, Farmer City, IL

Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Adam Brucker officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.

Doris was born March 9, 1926 in Wapella, IL, the daughter of Lennis and Esther (Miller) Durbin. She married Harold “Shorty” Cohenour August 5, 1948 in Wrightstown, NJ. He passed away March 20, 1997.

Survivors include her children, Larry (Linda) Cohenour, Clinton, IL; Steve Cohenour, Wapella, IL; Mark (fiancé, Paula Hammond) Cohenour, Wapella, IL, grandsons, Ryan (Michelle) Cohenour, Lafayette, IN; Tim (Jenny) Cohenour, Clinton, IL; Jacob (Nicolea) Cohenour, Pontiac, IL, and James Cohenour, Bloomington, IL, three great-granddaughters, Ainsley Cohenour, Della Cohenour, Corra Cohenour, and brother, Jim Durbin, Clinton, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Doris worked at the Wapella and Clinton Schools as a cook. She loved the outdoors and gardening.
