Jerry L. Milton 85 of Clinton, Illinois passed away 12:04 PM, August 28, 2025 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Ernie Harvey, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mausoleum Park Cemetery, Clinton, Il. Visitation will be 9-11 AM, Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Clinton Rotary Club, the Dementia Foundation, Pathway Services Unlimited, Inc., Jacksonville, IL, or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

Jerry was born January 6, 1940 in Bloomington, IL the son of Clarence and Willamena (Hoesman) Milton.  He married Charlotte Buck May 26, 1962 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Milton, Clinton, IL; children:  Thearsa (Seth) Redington, Clinton, IL; Shannon Milton, Clinton, IL; Shawn (Dana) Milton, Clinton, IL; and Melissa Armstrong, Clinton, IL; seven grandchildren:  Candace (Kelly) Welch, Clinton, IL; Aaron Sams, Clinton, IL; Coltan (Chelsea) Milton, Staunton, IL; Drew Milton, Clinton, IL; Delaney Milton, Clinton, IL; Mackenzie (Drew) Clark, Clinton, IL; and Ashley Armstrong, Clinton, IL; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn Woolridge, Bloomington, IL.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Milton; sister, Betty Maxwell; and grandson, Lucas Welch.

Jerry was a Fireman for 38 years and was also the Fire Chief in Clinton.  He was a 50 year member of the Clinton Rotary, a Clinton City Commissioner, and an Elder at First Christian Church, Clinton, IL.  Jerry along with his wife owned and operated Buck Appliance in Clinton, IL for several years. They also owned the Uptown Laundromat.  He loved horses and horseback riding.  Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
