Eileen Torrillo Carter

Eileen Torrillo Carter, 81, of Clinton, Illinois passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2025, at Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center with her loving husband Buck by her side.

Eileen was born in Washington D.C. on September 6th, 1943, to James and Jean Torillo. Eileen and her sisters, Evelyn and Carla, spent much of their life in the Washington D.C. and Maryland area. They were a close knit and loving family.

Eileen spent twenty years of her life dedicated to her career as the Vice President of human resources at Newark Electronics in Chicago, Illinois. Her love for new challenges led her to spend four years living in England to start up Newark’s operations overseas. She was an active member of the Chicago Stratford Upon Avon Shakespeare group. Where she enjoyed seeing plays and making friends who also enjoyed the theatre.

After retiring, she moved to the Clinton area in 2007 where she met the love of her life, Buck Carter. The two met when attending a school function for their grandchildren and it was love at first sight. They were married on December 27th, 2008. They lived a beautiful life together on their 20-acre farm in Clinton. They both loved having family spend time with them. They loved to sit in their sunroom and watch their horses along with watching the beautiful birds.

Eileen was the proud mother of two daughters, Stacey Moore (Dave), Naperville, IL, and Megan Myers (Kevin), Clinton, IL.

She was affectionately known as 'Noni' to her grandchildren: Kayla (Brent), Madeleine (Tyler), Tallon (Krista), Malorie (Tyler), and Tamsin. Her great grandchildren include Jack, Addy, Violet, Quinn, and Fiona. Family was always the most important part of Eileen's life.

Together Eileen and Buck were also very involved with the Clinton Community Education Foundation, which helped raise money for items that the local schools needed as well as scholarships for students.

Eileen is survived by her husband, daughters, grand and great grandchildren along with her sisters, a niece and nephews and extended family through her marriage to Buck.
