Marilyn Riley July 3, 1933 – August 7, 2025
Marilyn Riley was born July 3, 1933, the 7th child of Rolla and Emma. She married Carl Riley September 1949 in Decatur, Il. She passed away August 7, 2025 at Randall Residence, Decatur, Il.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Carl, two infant daughters, and her six siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Bill) Gentry, and her son Tom (Donna) Riley, four Grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Marilyn was blessed to have the love and excellent care of Randall Residence and Elara Caring Hospice. She was given a loving home at Randall Residence, as especially Lisa, Beth, Debra, and many others too numerous to mention not only met her needs through the years but treated her like their own family. Elara Caring Hospice became a Godsend to Marilyn and her family when times got hard. Marilyn’s family will always be grateful to Desiree`, Nikki, Troy, and the many others from Elara who touched Marilyn’s life. Thanks, seems to fall woefully short of expressing the gratitude of Marilyn’s family for the many unselfish, caring, and compassionate acts of those at Randall Residence and Elara Caring Hospice.
There will be a private graveside service, led by Pastor Scott Marsh of Texas Christian Church for family and caregivers. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, Il with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Camp Scholarship Fund at Little Galilee Christian Camp, 7539 Little Galilee Rd. Clinton, Il. 61727
