James "Jim" McPeek, age 65, passed away on July 17, 2025, at Carles Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. He was born on July 26, 1959, in Clinton, Illinois, to the late James McPeek and Bessie Lucille Followell.

Jim was a dedicated professional, working in construction and as a mechanic. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the hands-on nature of his occupations, often spending his free time working on cars and houses. His passion for mechanics was matched only by his love for adventure; Jim was an avid motorcycle rider and had a special fondness for attending races, where he could indulge his love for speed and excitement.

He is survived by his three beloved children: Aalieya Mitchell, James McPeek, and Jason McPeek. He is also remembered by his brother, Jacob McPeek, and his sister, Sabrina Peavler.

Jim was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Cheryl McPeek, along with his parents, James McPeek and Bessie Lucille Followell. Jim's warm spirit, generous heart, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
