Doris Jean Dorsett 88, of Clinton, IL passed away 11:52 PM July 24, 2025 at the Warner Hospital & Health Services, Clinton, IL.

Graveside Services will be 12 noon, Monday, July 28, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Doris Jean Dorsett Memorial Fund.

Doris was born February 19, 1937 in DeWitt County, IL the daughter of George and Cora (Mott) Works.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Wayne) Clymer, Clinton, IL, 3 grandchildren, Chastity (Jay) Swope, Canton, IL; Beverly Clymer, Clinton, IL; Sarah (Adam) Osborne, Clinton, IL, nine great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dixie (Ron) Houser, Chenoa, IL and Sue Anderson, Kansas City, MO.

Doris was preceded in death by her Parents, two brothers, Chuck Works and Billy Works, and five sisters, Lena Ruth Beyers, Betty Hubble, Georgia Ann Hosick, Faye Toruga, and Rosetta Rousey.

Doris was a member of the First Christian Church, Clinton, IL. She had worked at the former Maple Grove Nursing Home, Bloomington, IL and then later at the former Crestview Nursing Home, Clinton, IL, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time at the DeWitt County Friendship Center. She also enjoyed quilting and embroidering. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
