Marjorie Jane Gregory 87 of Clinton, IL passed away 8:35 P.M. June 30, 2025 at her family residence, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Wapella Christian Church, Wapella, IL with Josh Gorrie officiating. Private burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, IL. Visitation will be 1 – 2 P.M. Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the church.  The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Wapella Christian Church.

Marjorie was born February 7, 1938 in Wapella, IL the daughter of Harold Joseph and Isabelle (Sweckard) Short. She married William Irvin Gregory October 19, 1957 in Wapella, IL. He passed away November 7, 2007.

Survivors include her daughters, Janet Ward, Clinton, IL; Peggy (Ian) Courtney, Normal, IL; Paula (Michael) Hunt, Deer Park, WI; Karen (Kelly) Riggs, Clinton, IL, 9 grandchildren, Lucas, Lindsey, Cassidy, Shannon, Shane, Shae, Max, Abby, Hillary, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings, Bill (Kayla) Short, Wapella, IL; and Cheri (Mark) Miller, Wapella, IL.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 Sisters, LaJean James, Nancy Brown and Son-in-Law, David Ward.

Marjorie being a strong Christian, led her husband and four daughters to the saving knowledge of Christ. Marjorie’s statement to her family in her last days was “You girls have done so much for me, I wish I could do something for you. I know, I will show you around heaven.”
