Randie L. Livingood

Randie L. Livingood, 64, of Maroa, IL, passed away at 8:17 a.m. on June 27, 2025, at his family residence in Maroa, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clinton, IL, with Fr. Thomas Szydlik officiating. Burial will follow at South Macon Township Cemetery in Macon, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL, with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Randie was born on April 25, 1961, in Fort Campbell, KY, the son of Jimmy and Mary (Ishee) Livingood. He married Brenda K. Hogan on August 11, 1984, in Stonington, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda K. Livingood of Maroa, IL; parents, Jimmy and Mary Livingood of Bethany, IL; children, Ashley Livingood of Portland, OR; Breanna Livingood of Maroa, IL; Wesley Livingood of Dallas, TX; and Justin Livingood of Normal, IL. He is also survived by siblings, Joyce York of Humboldt, IA; Connie (Mark) Ludwig of Breda, IA; Trina (Donnie) Wallar of Latham, IL; Danny Livingood of Macon, IL; Teddy Livingood of Decatur, IL; Linda Subayi of Manassas, VA; and Tony (Kim) Livingood of Latham, IL.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Venus Ann Livingood.

Randie graduated from Quincy Area Vocational Technical Center and Richland Community College. He was a retired corrections officer for the Macon County Sheriff’s Department. Randie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He previously volunteered with the Maroa JFL Program, coached youth basketball with the YMCA, and for the Decatur Women’s Challenger Softball Team. He enjoyed boating, camping, bowling, gardening, sports photography, and attending his kids’ games.
