Carolyn M. Taylor, 99, of Bloomington, IL passed away 3:10 PM, June 13, 2025 at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing of Normal, Normal, IL.

Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Calvert Funeral Home with Dr. Scott Sherwood officiating.  Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington, IL.  

Memorials may be directed to Bloomington First Church of The Nazarene.

Carolyn was born May 30, 1926 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Walter and Esther (Goetzke) Salzman.  She married Lawrence “Larry” M. Taylor August 26, 1952 in Bloomington, IL.  He passed away August 22, 2002.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Michael (Janet) Taylor, Clinton, IL and Gregory (Valerie) Taylor, Paris, France; four grandchildren, Jacob (Bethanie) Taylor, Olathe, KS; Jennifer (Taylor) Coble, Rolling Meadows, IL; Garance Taylor, Paris, France; and Roxane Taylor, Paris, France, four great grandchildren, Davis, Silas, Sylvie, and Wrenna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Rose Marie Salzman and Helen Stephens.

Carolyn was a lifetime member of the Bloomington First Church of The Nazarene. She was assistant to Dudley Johnson at his insurance office for 40 years while also working with her husband at Taylor Laundries in Bloomington. Carolyn also volunteered at her church, Raymond School and Elections Commission.
