Elizabeth "Betty" Paddock

Elizabeth “Betty” Paddock, 93, of Clinton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at St. Clara’s Senior Care in Lincoln, Illinois, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born July 3, 1931 and raised in Clinton, Betty was the daughter of William and Lillian (Lawson) Bedinger. She graduated from Clinton High School and remained a lifelong member of the community that she so dearly cherished. On October 4, 1952, she married the love of her life, John Paddock. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and enduring devotion.
Betty had a deep affection for animals, especially horses and dogs, but nothing brought her more joy than her family. She was immeasurably proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she delighted in sharing their accomplishments with anyone she met. Her family was her greatest pride and the center of her world.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, John.

Betty is survived by her three children: Roger (Marsha) Paddock, Steven Paddock, and Barbara (Jack) Dunham. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Lisa (David) Mabey, Monica Ayers, Mike (Beth) Dunham, Stephanie (John) Nold, Valerie (Justin) Deuker, Kyle (Andrea Wycoff) Paddock, and Mark (Emily) Dunham; as well as twelve great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Graveside services will be 11 AM, Monday, July 7, 2025, at McClimans Cemetery, Hallsville, IL. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.
