Gayla Jo Presson 69 of Mattoon, Il. formally of Bloomington, Il. passed away 3:29 A.M. May 29, 2025 at Palm Gardens of Mattoon, Mattoon, Illinois.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton, Il. The family has entrusted Calvert Funeral Home Clinton, IL. with arrangements.

Gayla was born February 24, 1956 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Ned A. and Jo Anne (Coursey) Presson.

Survivors include her Stepmother, Rita Presson Bloomington, IL; Nephew, Brett (Laura) Presson Chicago, IL; Sister-in-Law, Holly Presson Bloomington, IL; Uncle, Verlin Presson Bourbonnais, IL; Aunt, Gloria “Toodles” Barr, Macomb, IL;  and Uncle, Richard Coursey, Monmouth, IL.

Gayla Jo was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother, Rex Presson, and Nephew, Todd Presson.

The family would like to give special thanks to Joye Solvie, Palm Gardens of Mattoon, Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, and Transitions Hospice for their wonderful care during such a difficult time.
