James D. Lane, Sr. 82 of Clinton, IL passed away 4:09 A.M. May 29, 2025 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Sandy Gambrel officiating. Burial will follow at DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, IL. Visitation will be 12- 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

James was born September 23, 1942 in Clinton, IL the son of Kenneth F. and Jessie Pearl (Styles) Lane. He married Mary M. Prakel June 25, 1968 in Clinton, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Lane, Clinton, IL, children, Melissa (Mike) Houran, Mt. Zion, IL; James D. (Elizabeth) Lane, Jr., Clinton, IL; Bobby (Mary) Lane, Clinton, IL, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, brother, Kenneth Lane, Clinton, IL, along with nieces, Maggie and Louise, Nebraska.

James was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Cheyenne A. Lane, sister, Margaret Jones and brother, Billie Lane.
