Robert B. Paul, Sr. 80 of Wapella, IL passed away 8:25 A.M. May 25, 2025 at his family residence, Wapella, IL.

Services will be 2:30 PM Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Josh Gorrie officiating. Military Honors will follow. Visitation will be 1 – 2:30 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Wapella Christian Church. 

Robert was born October 18, 1944 in Bloomington, IL the son of Robert E. and Mary Katherine (Stretch) Paul. Bob met Sandy Sue Chrisman in 1965. They rode Bob’s Harley Davidson all over.  October 15, 1967 Bob and Sandy were married in Hudson, IL. On his birthday, the 18th, in Chicago he was sworn into the US Army serving in the Vietnam Conflict from 1968-1969. After returning home, Bob, started a career as an autobody repairman and later changing careers to construction. In 2001, he and Sandy moved to Wapella and joined the Wapella Christian Church where he was baptized. Bob loved his kids, grandkids, great granddaughter and his “church people”.

He is survived his wife, Sandy Sue Paul, Wapella, IL, his sons, Robert B. Paul, Jr. and Ronald Allen Paul, his 5 grandchildren, Renee Paul; Robert Allen (Leila) Paul; Duncan Paul; Gage Paul; and Gavin Paul, his great granddaughter, Mila Pual. Also surviving are his brother, Randy Paul and his sister, Dee Dee (Joe) Brown.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Donna West and brother, David Paul.
