Catherine Veronica (Speck-Hall) Bailey, 90 of Clinton, IL passed away 2:32 PM May 20, 2025 at her home in Clinton, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clinton, IL with Fr. Thomas Szydlik Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Wapella, IL. Visitation will be 11 AM – 12 Noon Wednesday at the church. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or Ronald McDonald House.

Catherine was born January 2, 1935 in Peoria, IL the daughter of John and Agnes (Shaffer) Speck. She married Roger L. Bailey August 2, 1987 in Tremont, IL. He passed away March 7, 2015.

Survivors include her children, Denise (Gordan) Prosser, Lakeland, FL; Kathleen Y. Turner, Clinton, IL; Kim (David) Corsa, Clinton, IL, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, siblings, Joan (David) Swords, Morton, IL; Donald (Terry) Speck, Pensacola, FL; and Ronald (Carol) Speck, Peoria, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Catherine had worked for U.F.S. and Schwab’s Dairy both in Peoria. Later she worked at the Crestview Nursing Home Activities Department in Clinton. She enjoyed camping and playing cards.
