Margie A. Chapman 83 of Clinton, IL passed away 4:30 AM May 4, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac, Pontiac, IL.

Services will be 4 PM, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Clinton Church of God, Clinton, IL with Pastor Mark Cooper officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 Saturday at the church.  Private family burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, IL will be at a later date.  Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Margie was born April 14, 1942 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Ernest “E.J.” and Lillie (Hoge) Stokes.

Survivors include her children:  Jenny (Mark) Scherf, Plainfield, IL; Harold (Annette) Chapman, Lincoln, IL; Joe (Carla) Chapman, Sparta, TN; and Tracy Chapman, New Johnsonville, TN; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and two on the way; and brother, Charles (Mollie) Stokes, Sarasota, FL.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

One of Margie’s greatest joys was watching deer at Weldon Springs.
