Maria Carmen Lara-Flores, 85, of Normal, IL passed away 12:30 PM April 9, 2025 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Monday, April 14, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bloomington, IL with Fr. Adam Stimpson celebrant.  Burial will follow at Randolph Twp. Cemetery, Heyworth, IL.  Visitation will be 10 – 11 AM, Monday at the church.

Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Maria was born March 29, 1940 in Ocampo GT, Mexico the daughter of David Lara and Josephina Flores. 

Survivors include her children:  Rosa (Eleasar) Toledo, Wapella, IL; Miguel (Michaela) Rodriguez, Mexico; Antonio Rodriguez, Normal, IL; Juana Rodriguez, Indianapolis, IN; Alberto (Marta) Rodriguez, Bloomington, IL; and Joe Rodriguez, Bloomington, IL; 22 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren also survive.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, one son, and two sisters.

Maria was a loving mother and adored each of her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them.  She was an exceptional housewife.  Maria enjoyed listening to music.  One her favorite songs was Corrido del Mano Negra.
