Shelli D. Mitchell, 62 of Clinton, IL passed away 11:50 AM February 8, 2025 at her home in Clinton, IL.

A Celebration of Shelli’s Life will be 4 PM Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Civic Center, Kenney, IL. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with cremation rites.

Memorials may be directed to Second Chance Pet Adoptions or the DeWitt County Animal Shelter. 

Shelli was born July 7, 1962 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Franklin W. and Sandra Lien (Scott) Mitchell. 

Survivors include her brothers, Kenneth (Lueverta) Mitchell, Victorville, CA, and Stephen (Debra) Mitchell, Clinton, IL, nieces & nephews, Kara, Rochelle, Lauren, Megan (Zac), Alicia (fiancé, Bobby), Scotty, Wiley (Allison), Sami (Steven), Travis, Trevor and 10 great nieces & nephews, along with her companion, Roxi. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Shelli enjoyed crocheting, collecting owls, taking care of her house plants, and watching her favorite team, the Miami Dolphins. She loved animals and especially her little dog, Roxi. She never met a stranger and had an open-door policy; she rarely locked her door so people could visit whenever they wanted to. Shelli was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
