Charles “Chuck” W. Johnson 81 of Clinton, IL passed away 10:37 A.M. January 6, 2025 at his family residence, Clinton, IL.

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Pastor Terry Leach officiating. Burial will follow at Texas Township Cemetery, Clinton, IL with military honors. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the funeral home.  The family requests casual attire.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Chuck was born December 11, 1943 in Champaign, IL the son of Johnny and Bernice (Dye) Johnson. He married Martha Bartimus February 6, 1987 in Decatur, IL.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Johnson, Clinton, IL, daughter, Shannon Thomasson, AZ, stepson, Thomas (Jenny) Tripp, Decatur, IL, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sherri Durbin; grandson, Charles Joseph Durbin; stepfather, Charles Carr.

Chuck served his country in the US Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.
